I mean, at the start yeah, but.... there’s only a handful of us here, you know? After a while, it starts being stale. And ‘sides, me and Red are so used to battling we can read each other from miles away.

[It was good and bad, but in this context where they didn’t have the Pokémon or items to change up strategy, and no challengers to pair up against, it wasn’t conducive to any kind of growth.]
