[A lock clicks and a door opens, heavy footsteps follow and then a familiar voice greets the network:]

I guess it has been about a month, hasn't it? I didn't mean to leave, but it's not like we get to decide for ourselves.

[He could be furious; he could swear revenge, yet what will that change? Anakin appears on the feed, hair mussed and demeanor surprisingly mellow. Alcohol is the likely culprit, but he isn't slurring his words.]

For those of you who haven't spoken to me or met me, I'm Anakin Skywalker. [A hand will be lifted in greeting.] Hope you're settling in alright. Being here will...grow on you. Eventually.

[And if it doesn't, you can at least find a way to be comfortable. Most of the time.]

I'm looking for my son, daughter and grandson. They'll know who they are and I've...

I've missed them. [That last bit is quiet and his smile appears, warm and real.] If they feel the same way, I suggest they contact me.

We went to Mars. A moon blew up. [ it was eventful, for sure. He can't say it was "entertaining", though]

So you finally made it? What was Mars like? Inhabited? [He thinks not, but this place is full of surprises.] Why did a moon blow up?

There were OTO agents up there, but that's it. We didn't really focus on getting to know the planet, but...

They had a space station on Phobos Moon, which had a nuclear reactor. It self-destructed so.

[ The utter joy Luke is feeling right now cannot be understated. His father is back, his father is still whole, for the most part. He can finally put some of his worries and fears and nightmares away, at least for now. ]

Luke. [Breathing is suddenly easier and he stares at his son, memorizing the details he fears will be wiped clean from his memory. Again.]

I'm glad to be back. I wasn't sure if you were going to be around.

[But he is and that makes the transition pretty damn easy for him.]

[ He's just... he can't. His father is here. His father is back. He almost feels like he could cry right now. ]

Are you okay? No one gave you trouble coming back, did they?

You went back too? [Anakin looks concerned because, well, he is a nightmare of a father and there isn't anything he can do about that.]

What did you see? [He softens and smiles.] Why would anyone give me trouble?

[Besides Dooku.]

[For a moment, he can't respond. It's strange how he's missed Anakin even if they aren't related. But he cleared his throat, refusing to get emotional.]

Your grandson is still here. I believe he is at work at the moment- I can forward you the address if you need it.

[A small grin tugs his lips. Hello there, Hux. He had thought about asking about you too, but that might put you in an awkward position.]

I'll find him. [The Force thing really helps.] You, on the other hand, are harder for me to locate.

[So Anakin does remember him. His cheeks are faintly red as he nodded.]

I'm working from home today. We're at the same house. You are still welcome over.

I remember. [Or, rather, his memories returned to him upon entering the Port. Like usual, however, he will pretend he is above the tricks of this world - or any other.] What are you working on? Need help?

Have you?

[ He speaks carefully, tightly. He forces his chin up. Everything he can to crush down the whirling chaos of emotion stirred up by Anakin's reappearance. ]

Missed us. I didn't think it was possible, for memories of this place to survive.

[Briefly. Always. Anakin fully believes a part of him will know them no matter where he treads.]

My memories are special.

[ His skepticism shows on his face briefly. It doesn't seem particularly likely to Kylo that anything of this place could exist beyond its limits– but then again, if anyone could reach through the void to touch a future that never was, he believes it would be his grandfather.

But wishing something to be true doesn't make it so.

A faint smile tugs at his mouth. ]

[Play along, Kylo. It will be easier. Anakin isn't sure how to make his sudden disappearance better. Of course it had hurt his family. How could it not?]

I remember you. Kylo Ren, my grandson. [He smiles with an equal amount of sorrow and joy.] You look good and - [Now he inhales shakily.] I'm relieved I can see you again.

[ It took her a few solid moments of hesitation before she could muster up a response. Leia remembered feeling the void he'd left when he disappeared from this world. She'd felt the same with Padme leaving as well. They were both a part of her whether she wanted to argue and deny it until her dying breath, Anakin especially. She'd come to accept it.

There was more to say... Where to start? ]

[She is beautiful; just like her mother and it makes his heart ache. He knows he would move mountains for her. She wouldn't even need to ask.]

Leia. [Anakin can't hide his love and it shines from his eyes. There is also relief; he has been saved from the horrors of Mustafar.] I am. I would like to see you.

[ Bail used to look at her exactly like that, and Breha, when they weren't all in the middle of trying to work out her rebellious streak, her digging out the truth on her own regarding her parent's dealings with the Rebellion behind closed doors and "dinners".

Leia doesn't immediately respond. Before, aboard the Deathstar, she had found the scathing remarks would come too easily. Now... Well. Now they were like a lump trapped in her throat. She remembers going to Luke, the emotions they'd shared in a mutual loss. ]

I'm sure it can be arranged.

[prophesiedone]

[Just a few minutes in her presence leaves him delighted. She is too good to be his, he thinks, yet that isn't fair. She is so good because she has overcome the mess he made. Leia has definitely learned hands on no matter how much her adoptive parents tried to protect her and Anakin is proud of her.]

I will come to you when you're ready. [He has learned restraint.] Thank you for letting me see you.
