Do you feel directionless when there is nothing to fight for or against?

I have lived through many wars. I have known nothing but battles since childhood. I feel restless to not be in the midst of a war, no matter how terrible they can be.

Such emotions are not so easily put to rest.

Yes. The Huk convinced the Republic and the Jedi that they were the victims, which was not at all true, and they were believed. The Jedi then came to my world and ruined the lives of thousands. Many died, suffering and starving in a famine caused by the Jedi's actions.

[And this is where his initial grudge against them happened, further inflamed later on by Count Dooku.]

Poor things...no wonder you've been keeping busy. I couldn't sleep, either, after something like that.

This was many years ago. Since then the Jedi rose to fight in another war. One on which I led the army of the opposing side. However, I was manipulated by others and made to fight their battles in something meant to fail.

Here, at least, I have some freedom to choose for myself.

Oh, lots of things! Singing, inventing, writing letters to people about my inventions, mommying, cooking, decorating, collecting-

There's not enough time in the day. But everyone's got their own passions. My Bobby likes painting little figures in his crappy pants. Takes all types.
