Do you feel directionless when there is nothing to fight for or against?

I have lived through many wars. I have known nothing but battles since childhood. I feel restless to not be in the midst of a war, no matter how terrible they can be.

Such emotions are not so easily put to rest.

Also our enemy isn't exactly intelligent. They're trying to eat us, we're trying to not get eaten.

What manner of creature was trying to eat you?

From what I have heard, they are the undead. I have dealt with similar creatures before. They attacked as an army, raised by dark magics to fight alongside their living counterparts. They were easy enough to destroy. Only troublesome when they swarmed in a larger group. But that was only a minor trouble. They were easily defeated.

But you can't defeat a virus through fighting alone, not when the entire world is already infected.

Admittedly, ours is on only one planet as well, but that's the only one we got.

We don't have witches where I'm from. We have scientists. We have people. And we have just enough hubris to fuck ourselves over.

Generally, yes. Do you think non-humans would have done differently?

I am not saying that all other alien species are better, however, humans have caused a great deal of trouble in the galaxy.

I only have experience with humans, but I find it hard to believe aliens are any less capable of fucking up.
