Good afternoon, everyone! My name is Alphonse Elric, and on behalf of the Aegis Force, I'd like to invite the imPort community to an open house at our headquarters in Maurtia Falls. This will be open to the native population as well, and we intend for this to serve as a way for everyone to get to know us, see our facilities, and be able to ask questions about the Force and our goals.

It will take place next Wednesday, which is October 31st, from 12 PM to 7 PM, so anyone who has Halloween parties or trick or treating to attend to still has a chance to stop by. Costumes are also encouraged; I know I'll be dressed up!

I like that idea. There's a few chubby cats in the directory that look like Chunkers. Or maybe just Chunky.

Alphonse! Oh--thank you for getting on top of this, I would've forgotten myself. But look!

[dangling orange garland with lil' bats dangling on it.] I found a treasure trove of festive decorations, all in one shop! I'll have to make trips...

Oh, I love that! We can hang that over the entrances, maybe... or from the ceiling... we'll need to make plans.

I'll gather a whole bunch of different things, while you get a clearer idea of how we ought to lay it all out. And--oh! We can use the holograms in the training rooms, too. To suit a good holiday theme.

Oh, I like that idea. Maybe have it change every so often to different environments, to show off the holo capabilities.

Oh, yes! Good idea. I don't believe that technology is very prevalent outside of certain places, so I don't doubt many would be interested to see it.

Oh-- Can you check around and see if we have tables to use? We'll need more than a few.

It's such a useful tool. I've done some training exercises, and it's a lot better than going out and getting into real fights.

Absolutely. If nothing else, I can always transmute some.

I keep forgetting that wizardry of yours.

I'm beginning to feel like both terms are pretty accurate.

Well, it's close enough in my mind; if you feel keen on calling yourself a wizard of sorts, you won't hear me complaining.

I could get a cloak and grow a long beard. Really look the part of a wizard.

Oh, hardly necessary, Alphonse! Where I'm from, plenty of mages and sages are still quite young and...hairless. [with a chuckle:] One of my dearest friends studies the arcane, and I'm older than him.

[Al smiles at that.]

Yeah, I guess that's true for my world, too! Brother and I are considered young to be skilled alchemists, but it's not like doing basics requires years of study, too. Some people want to just be able to do enough to be able to help around the house and such.

Which seems to be on par with what my mage-friend from home has said. [but...at odds with what Owain has said. Owain--Odin mentioned quite a great deal more perils when it came to his study. were they embellishments??? who knows.

Of course. I try not to rely too much on alchemy for doing simple things, but it's nice to showcase what I can do outside of battle, too. Alchemy doesn't just need to be used for combat.

No problem. Aegis is a government-sanctioned imPort organization. We're based in Maurtia Falls, and our primary goal is is to protect and improve security for this world's native population. A personal goal of mine is also to improve relations between the native and imPort communities.

I'm guessing you like cats...Just a hunch.

I've been curious about this Aegis Force, I'll admit. If I don't get called in at the clinic because well...Halloween and its chaos, I'll make time to stop by.

Just a little. I've wanted one my whole life, but Brother and I drifted from place to place a lot for several years, so we could never keep a pet.

We'd appreciate it. I know we try to be transparent about our activities and our purpose.

Well...what about now? There are shelters around.

I'm interested in what you do, but I'm not looking to sign up--that won't be a problem will it?

I'm seriously considering it. Right now I'm in the middle of moving to Maurtia Falls, but after then... who knows? I am a bit hesitant because I never know when I'm going to be sent back to my world, in which case it seems better to get a stuffed animal. But I can't just not live here, either.

Absolutely. This is meant to be informational and for casual mingling more than for recruitment.

I'd say go for it. Even if you end up back home after a while, I think the cat would want that home just as much as you want to give it, you know?

Then definitely count me in.

Mmhmm. That's what I'm leaning toward- there are way too many strays. I think my big problem now will be picking just one!

...That's not a bad thing to want. Working together is going to keep us out of the messes that spring up.

I'd be okay with that, honestly.

Exactly. And it'll make our stay here a lot easier if the native population is more amendable to us, too. I've heard there's been protests and the like earlier this year, but that was before I arrived.
