[ on screen there's a sleeping brittany pointer pup resting on what looks like is a nice, steely grey surface. probably because that would be Bumblebee's leg. poor Rex looks kind of small in comparison, especially since there's a big robot finger petting the sleeping puppy. ]

Finally! Little guy really doesn't know how to not be a little ball of energy. I don't know what Thundercracker was thinking when he decided he wanted him, but I've been taking care of Rex here since the big guy up and left.

[ actually, Thundercracker and the pup are really funny to watch, not that Bumblebee is going to say that. instead Rex just yawns and aww. isn't that a little heart warming. ]

...It's not really that bad.

[ so yeah. it really hasn't been that much of a chore. just exhausting. ]

So what kind of tricks should I teach him? ...Any tips on how I can wear him out faster would be nice too, I guess.

Don't you have somewhere you can just let him run around for a while, or play with other dogs? That would probably tire you out less.

I didn't think the place had a dog park. Those are things that exist, yeah...

Could just go to the park in general and let him run. Or drive to the beach.

So long as you're sure he's not going to run off. He sounds like he's pretty young.

He is. Thundercracker didn't want to adopt an older one. He wanted a puppy.

He probably would say that... But I couldn't put Rex up like that. Got kind of fond of the little guy myself.

You seem like it. Pets are pretty relaxing to have around. They're not complicated.

A bit complicated to me, but far more easily dealt with than people are. It's kind of nice to have someone around that just adores you and relies on you unconditionally.

They do take a little more maintenance than a tune-up and an oil change. You can't just forget about them. [ He sounds almost guilty, there; he's gone through at least five generations of fish he'd 'forgotten' to feed. ]

It's pretty hard to forget about Rex. He's practically at my heels whenever I get home.

[ if this Shepard came from a little bit further in the future, he'd certainly suspect so... ]

Maybe he's making sure you don't get lonely.

That'd be awfully sweet of him if that were the case.

According to movies and the internet. Just never really dealt with one in person.

Not like other races do. We have turbo foxes and some people tried to keep them as pets.

Turbo foxes? [ From the name alone, they don't sound very pet-like to Shepard. ]

Imagine a giant fox from Earth, completely made out of metal. That's pretty much it.

I've never actually seen one before. Just on some old vids.

Don't spend much time planetside?

Not really. I spent most of my time growing up on ships, and after that, it was all training.

Growing up on ships? Parents captains or something?

Military. Both of them served with the Alliance navy.
