From looking through this network I've seen that I've... been here before. [And it shocks him, he's still shocked.] I don't remember it. I don't remember this place at all. The last thing I remember is--

[He cuts himself off. Let's not go into what he last remembers, and Cassian shakes his head.] Has it been like that for anyone else? Leaving here, then coming back here without any memory of being here before? Does this happen often?

And what the hell is a mystery shopper?

[The tone is polite enough, although the sight might be jarring. Other Cassians have recognised him before, but that doesn't guarantee that Grievous will provoke the same reaction here.]

Indeed, people have come and gone prior, both with and without memory loss.

[The sight is very, very jarring. Not someone who Cassian expected to see, and he's shocked for a moment before it settles into something firm.]

General Grievous. You're not someone I expected to see here. [Understatement, of course. He didn't expect to see most of the people he would probably meet. But the man is well known, and no one else looks like him.]

I have been here about a standard year and a half and, no, I have not been ported out at all in this time. But I have seen others, even recently, such as Senator Amidala. You are not alone in your situation.

Mystery shopping means you go into a store pretending that you're a normal person but you're really testing the shop on something. I checked it out once for a part time job. It's kind of like being a spy.

[Did they know he was a spy before they gave him that job? That's something he's a little uncomfortable with.] And people actually get paid to do that? What are you testing the shop on, whether it has the items you want or not? I've never heard of this before.

It's very strange. {Oh, he's young. Cassian looks at him kindly.] I don't think I like it very much. It's like someone has been messing with my mind, my memories, without me knowing it.

[ He'd been flying, all day, testing out a new fighter jet for the airforce (it was terrible, way worse than his F-22), and thus had spent the whole day far enough away from BB-8 that the droid had gone into its Porter-relegated shutdown mode. So there was no happy beeps, when Cassian's ID was registered to the network, no excited trill. Instead, Poe found out after he landed, aimlessly checking the network over his neural connection while the technicians ran around outside the plane.

The sudden intense relief followed my an immediate drop of his heart right through his stomach was as fast a mood change as he'd ever known.

He dragged in a deep breath. Yeah. No video. Not today.

How many times would he have to do this? ]

[Learning you'd been there not once, but twice before, with no memory of it now, is something he's still trying to get through. So much shock. So much anger, too, more then he expected to have.]

Cassian? Hey... um. [ If he were honest, Bodhi was in two minds about Cassian returning. Grateful, glad - but well, he didn't remember being here to begin with. So while they'd built up a friendship, more than just a team. It's sad to think of those memories gone, and the need to start over (he'd have to check on Poe, too while he was at it).

In the background, a dog is barking. ]

I was wondering if you'd show up again. You've - you've been here twice - before this.

Bodhi? [He'd really only known about being here the first time; learning he'd been here a second time and didn't remember that either, well. He's just shocked by it all and struggling to stay on top of it.]

I saw on the network, that I... yeah, that I've apparently been here before. I don't remember any of it, though. Last thing I was-- we were-- [Falls silent.]

This place called Nonah. Government housing number one. That's where they dropped me off, anyway. Where are you? [He'd really like to see a familiar face.]

It's been known to happen. Not to me, but it's happened to a few people that I've known. I can't imagine it's a good feeling.

[He's trying not to stare, but he's kind of staring. Not someone he expected to see, and he feels himself drawing in on himself. This is all so strange.]

This happened to me quite recently. I was apparently here for many months, but I remember none of it. I'm sorry to hear you're going through this situation yourself.

You too? [He's not sure if it's good or not that it's not just him. A little good, maybe. It makes him feel less alone, less isolated.] This is the second time I've been here, apparently, but the last thing I remember, I wasn't here. I wasn't even in this galaxy.

[It gives him a little bit of hope, actually! Maybe his memories will return, of this place. Many things were built on hope, after all. Still, he didn't expect to see her here.]

...Your highness. [And then he feels lame after saying that, wondering what he should be calling her, but she was royalty, Bail Organa's daughter, and that meant something important to Cassian. He tries to give her a smile in return, and it's small, but there.]

It's good to see you again, too. Maybe my memory is just taking it's time in coming back, about this place.

Yeah, that's the job I got. It seems a little easy? But also kind of... [Stupid. For his skill set, he feels like it's easy and stupid, but he also doesn't want to say that.] Strange. It's a strange job, I've never heard of it before, in the entire galaxy.
