BREW-TAL DUDE
As seen in Maurtia Falls local news and on various social media accounts:
In the early hours of the morning of December 7th a mysterious fire broke out at one of Maurtia Fall's favorite tea shops Brew World Order. Unfortunately, the building was completely destroyed but the cause of the fire is still unknown. The only lead is vague rumors of an old man with a white and gray beard being seen in the area but as of yet there has been no follow up. As always, anyone with any information is encouraged to reach out to MFPD.

IMPORTANT GOVT BUSINESS

The Import Relations Division of the Justice Department, in response to Count Dooku’s demand for compensation regarding his loss of property during his incarceration, would like to dedicate this formal apology to Count Dooku, and has additionally renovated the Imprisoned ImPort Safekeeping system. A new plaque sits over a wall of lockers, titled the “Count Dooku Memorial Import Storage Locker” in memorial to him, sits in the Cape Canaveral base with guards and power nullifiers surrounding the perimeter of the room. No one’ll be stealing from Imprisoned Import storage again!

Along with the gift card given to the Count previously, the IR Division has released this formal apology for all to see.

As this is the official press release picked up by major news outlets within the Porter Cities, it is as follows:
PRESS RELEASE FROM AEGIS FORCE: The imPort peacekeeping team Aegis Force is closing recruitment for the time being, having fully filled its ranks with fifteen imPort members. Aegis thanks all its members for stepping forward to help protect the innocent throughout the Porter cities. Recruitment will re-open if and when new spots become available on the team.

'Tis the season for giving, and several local charities have banded together to help those in need have a happy holiday season. Kanan Jarrus, ImPort and head of youth outreach programs NeoJedha and the Endeavor Center, believes cooperation like this can help make our city a safer place.

"We're hoping to feed a lot of people this year," he said in an interview this week. "If we can help people in need, we can help reduce crime rates and make Maurtia Falls safe for everyone who lives here."

But he can't do it alone.

"We always need help, but especially this time of year," he added. "Socks. Everyone needs socks, and people don't really think about donating them much. Or money to buy socks. Or you could volunteer some time to help feed people, or distribute socks. It all helps."

Vicente Magaldi, CEO of the Mexican technology company ‘Hora Nueva’, has been murdered during a business trip to New York City. An unidentified assailant appears to have infiltrated Magaldi’s hotel room, evading his bodyguards, and stabbed him in the back before vanishing without a trace. Magaldi was pronounced dead at the scene. The only apparent clue was a scrap of paper left by the body with the symbol of a black handprint on it.

The killer has not yet been identified or caught by police, and appears to have evaded being photographed by security cameras. However, an anonymous statement sent to multiple news sources indicates a possible motive for the slaying. It says that Vicente Magaldi’s company made it possible for the OTO to terrorize Earth from space with their technology. He has now paid the ultimate price for helping the OTO’s cruelty and corruption. For too long these criminals have acted without consequences, but no more. Let this deed serve as a warning to all the scientists and financiers of the world: the cost of working with the OTO is not worth the money and knowledge they offer. It is a price to be paid in blood.

The controversial ‘Otherworld Technologies Organization’ has been accused of crimes by imPorts in the past, but has never been found responsible for any illegal activity. Authorities are refusing to speculate about whether imPorts could have been involved in this killing. Magaldi himself was respected as a business leader in his hometown of Guadalajara, where his company works in creating zero emissions transportation, new forms of space travel, and energy engineering. When asked for a statement, his family asked for privacy in their time of grief.

My thanks to our government hosts for finally doing the correct thing and apologizing for their grievous lapse in competence. And my special thanks to Chauncy Anderson, without whom this achievement could not have been possible. Speaking of justice, I sincerely hope that whoever is responsible for destroying 'Brew World Order' is identified and dealt with swiftly. It was possibly the only decent source of tea I have found during my time on Earth, and I spent many fine hours there. I will miss it dearly.

[Which was clearly the point of this petty little stunt, along with implicating Dooku himself. How clumsy, yet irritating.]

Now then, am I the only one who believes that whoever eliminated Magaldi may have done the world a favour? He was involved in a plot to obliterate Heropa, after all. And it should be clear to all of us by now that the legal authorities of this world are very slow indeed to take action against the OTO, however great their outrages become.

Magaldi was arguably a terrible man, and OTO does need to be investigated, but this is not the way to do it.

We need to prosecute them. Not murder them in cold blood. Now whatever secrets he had, whoever he knew in the OTO, has gone with him to the grave.
