Christmas Appeal 2018

The whole point of Christmas today is presents and money; something we Imports possess more of than most.

Now, how do you feel about sharing both around? The Heropa Women's Shelter is throwing a celebration and I'm seeking donations. Christmas can be a difficult time for those whose lives have been torn apart by the trauma of abuse. How perfect would it be if we made this season a special experience?

All I require is that donations are unwrapped so the women and children here can choose and wrap their presents for that extra personal touch.

The shelter's address is at the bottom of this post. If you care, gift a little something.

I think that's a great idea. Do the kids have any kind of Christmas lists so we could get them gifts they particularly want?

Well, yes, but one of them wrote a thousand bucks. Do you have that sort of cash lying around?

My guess is they became too traditional. Though being fair, the same child also asked for some nice clean clothes.

I can swing that. I've only been here a few weeks, so I don't have much cash, but I'd like to help out the kids.

What kinds of things should we donate?

Toys. Money. Clothing. Board games, puzzles, books and dolls. Maybe a bike. Obviously, all the usual things children need and enjoy...

I can do that. I think I have a decent idea of what kids like.

[Granted what he enjoyed as a kid was quite different, what with the difference in technology and resources.]

Well, doesn't that tie the ribbon on the box? Not every child will enjoy a game of snakes and ladders.

I'm currently doing a drive for the orphanages and also for families in need. Should I have anything left, I can have them delivered to you, if you'd like.

Whatever's left over, it's all welcome. Since some people would never give anything.

I have more than enough that I'm sure I can divide everything up. I have plenty of toys as well. I actually received a shipment of extra toiletries that contains quite a bit of feminine hygiene products.

I was already planning on some free games for the kids, but I think the regulars would be up for it too.

Oh, and when I get asked out it tends to be smaller, private functions. My social life doesn't consist of hanging out at bar every night, you know.
