I’d call it excessive, but I’ve hardly spent time navigating it to be certain.
I dislike being an uninformed buyer, especially since the art of face to face haggling seems lost in this land.

Society here has gone far beyond production as a means of survival, yes? I've not seen sign of subsistence crafts or produce at all. So now that basic needs are covered, I suppose this means values must be placed on other less-necessary things?
...Which seems to be almost EVERYTHING else.

It almost sounds as though you're complaining about luxury! Is it the feeling of being a fish out of water, as the saying goes? I was dazzled at first by this era, the sheer accessibility of anything and everything one could ever want.

"Dazzled" is one word for it, yes, but that would imply some level of beauty to go with it, and I've not seen much of that myself. My aesthetics come from a more natural state than all this concrete, I suppose.

Shiseido is one of my favourites from home that seems to exist here, too. Their makeup feels quite lightweight.

Do you happen to have a need for any, yourself? Since you're living in the same house, it'd make sense for me to just pick up the lot of it at once.

I tend to use skin/hair care products more than makeup, but I see someone has already recommended Shiseido. Their products are lovely.

Shiseido makes hair products as well, if that's what you're asking. They're not sold in stores in this country, so you would have to order online, but they're worth it.

If you're looking for something you can buy in a store, I think I'm contractually obligated to recommend Brillianse brand shampoo, conditioner, and hair spray.

There are no porters to Japan, if that's what you mean. But it's easy to order online, you just have to pay a little extra to have the product shipped directly to your door.

When I first arrived on this world, I was given a sponsorship deal by Brillianse, to advertise their products, in commercials and the like. I have since become too busy with other duties to do it, but technically I think I'm still responsible to recommend their brand.

It may behoove you to investigate that? It seems a touch irresponsible to disregard any possible oaths or ties you may have that you're expected to honor -- even if you didn't ask to honor them in the first place.
