So this is probably a pretty out there question but...Have any of you met like, alternate universe versions of people you know? I'm not just talking same name or anything.
Because I'm pretty sure I live with my dad now? Another version of my dad...This is--Gods. [He throws his hands up, a bit of the child of Apollo dramatics coming into play.] Why are gods so complicated?

Another.... ah, hell. There's only one person this could be. ]
The weatherman's back? Since when?

I guess pretty recently? He's one of my new roommates so... [ He shrugs. He really should have made that move to Fauxhalla, his is giving him a headache. ]

As to answer your question, I have no idea. How much like - [ "me" ] Apollo are we talking?

[Wouldn't that be awkward]
Nico might come out here...or I might go back to DeChima with him.

Yeah, okay, fair. I shouldn't be interrupting your quality time.

[ According to the video backdrop behind Apollo's shoulders he's up somewhere high, wind whipping through his hair. The Nonah city skyline falls away behind him, swinging in to view every now and again as Apollo paces along the edge of a skyscraper rooftop and addresses the video feed. ]
And I'd just like to officially announce that I'm definitely not a god. I've got zero delusions of grandeur in that respect, although I'll take it as a compliment all the same.
[ So, thanks, he guesses??? ]
no subject
[Look, he's just...going to doubt that. For several reasons. Mostly the fact that the Fates hate him.]
You're uh...welcome for the compliment I guess?

[ He glances out, away from the video and across the city. Hey, he can see their house from here. ]
Are you at home?
no subject
...But yeah, I'm home. Studying. [He's a good boy that holds a job and goes to school. Bless 'im.]
no subject
Right. Stay put. I'll be there in ten.
[ And he means ten seconds, not ten minutes. ]
no subject
Are you doing okay with it? It must be hard when it's a family member.
no subject
...I'm doing okay? It's just...bizarre.

I've heard it can happen, yes. It makes sense, I think—this is already an alternate universe place for a lot of us. May as well be alternate people too.
Is this version of your dad...different?

[He straightens his glasses just for something to do with his hands. He's incredibly curious, but this also seems pretty personal.]
If he's that different, though, what makes you so sure he's kinda-sorta your dad? Is there more than the name?

I can only imagine the horror of living with my father, and I hope no iteration of him ever sets foot in this world.
[ You know. One Demigod to another. ]
no subject
But uh...sorry you feel that way about your dad? I don't have a bad relationship with mine, really. He's just been more of an absentee most of my life up until a little while ago...
no subject
[ A pause. ]
I think. A little difficult to keep track.
But I understand the absenteeism. My own father showed up in my life only because he wanted something.

[A beat.]
Mine was turned mortal by his father. Has to complete some quest to earn that whole "godly" thing back.

[ Still. Music, medicine, the sun- Apollo? ]

[ WELL. AT LEAST IN HIS WORLD. Seriously Zeus keep it in your pants. ]
