So this is probably a pretty out there question but...Have any of you met like, alternate universe versions of people you know? I'm not just talking same name or anything.

Because I'm pretty sure I live with my dad now? Another version of my dad...This is--Gods. [He throws his hands up, a bit of the child of Apollo dramatics coming into play.] Why are gods so complicated?

I guess pretty recently? He's one of my new roommates so... [ He shrugs. He really should have made that move to Fauxhalla, his is giving him a headache. ]

As to answer your question, I have no idea. How much like - [ "me" ] Apollo are we talking?

Would it help if I describe him as a literal ray of sunshine? I haven't exactly talked to him much to know if it's like--[ you ]Apollo Apollo, if that makes sense.

How do you think living with the guy feels?

Meeting alternates is more common than you think. I think I've met seven Apollos in ten years. You get used to it.

[ According to the video backdrop behind Apollo's shoulders he's up somewhere high, wind whipping through his hair. The Nonah city skyline falls away behind him, swinging in to view every now and again as Apollo paces along the edge of a skyscraper rooftop and addresses the video feed. ]

And I'd just like to officially announce that I'm definitely not a god. I've got zero delusions of grandeur in that respect, although I'll take it as a compliment all the same.

[ So, thanks, he guesses??? ]

This is my first run with it, honestly.

Are you doing okay with it? It must be hard when it's a family member.

Really? 'Cause I wouldn't be. [ That's one nightmare he's glad he hasn't had to live through. ] It's more common in some worlds than others. In mine? Mega common. Like, people come to our Earth from alternate Earths common. It's a whole thing.

I don't think I could live with this being a constant thing. We already have people coming back from the dead, or from different times and...that's enough. Thank you very much.

You mean where you're from, or here? Because this place, um, kind of deals with all of the above. It's a little bonkers that we're not all more up in arms about it.

I've heard it can happen, yes. It makes sense, I think—this is already an alternate universe place for a lot of us. May as well be alternate people too.

Is this version of your dad...different?

This version is as far from my actual dad has humanly--er godly?--as possible. It's just...It's unnerving, okay?

[He straightens his glasses just for something to do with his hands. He's incredibly curious, but this also seems pretty personal.]

If he's that different, though, what makes you so sure he's kinda-sorta your dad? Is there more than the name?

The powers, where they come from really. I mean, I guess he might not be, now that I really think about it.

Have you talked to him? Asked what he thinks? He might be able to shed some light.

Because their entire existence is meant to vex us.

I can only imagine the horror of living with my father, and I hope no iteration of him ever sets foot in this world.

[ You know. One Demigod to another. ]

Now this? This is one of the most relatable response.

But uh...sorry you feel that way about your dad? I don't have a bad relationship with mine, really. He's just been more of an absentee most of my life up until a little while ago...

I feel that way about my father because he's the literal personification of chaos and his crowning achievement is killing his own brother to become temporary ruler and leading to the birth of the man who would become the leader of our pantheon.

[ A pause. ]

I think. A little difficult to keep track.

But I understand the absenteeism. My own father showed up in my life only because he wanted something.

Mine can't seem to pick what he wants to be the god of. Music, medicine, the sun...I guess you could call him diverse.

[A beat.]

Mine was turned mortal by his father. Has to complete some quest to earn that whole "godly" thing back.

Turned Mortal? Sounds like a lesson all gods could use. Remind them who it is they serve.

[ Still. Music, medicine, the sun- Apollo? ]

More like Zeus was trying to teach him a lesson about responsibility. Or something.

Responsibility? Coming from the god who's the sole reason for so much misery in Greek mythos?

[ WELL. AT LEAST IN HIS WORLD. Seriously Zeus keep it in your pants. ]
