Greetings, my fellow imPorts. For those who do not know me, my name is Petyr Baelish and I am the current mayor of Maurtia Falls.

[ He offers a faint smile along with his pause, fingers lacing on the desk before him. ]

I will be brief. Those of you who have been here for some time may recall I spoke about an underground shelter being built in the city. And those who were not, I will include access to the original network post I made. Here.

All of this to say, I am pleased to announce as of today, the shelter is fully operational. I have intentions to enhance the level of comfort found therein over the upcoming months and expand it to make it larger. Right now it has the capacity to house 10,000 citizens. But it would be ideal for it to be able to hold all of Maurtia Falls.

With luck, we will not need to use it. [ Idly scratching his cheek. ] But I believe this, in conjunction with other shelters across this city will help to prevent the loss of life we've seen to date.

Ten thousand?

[Jacob lets out a long, low, impressed whistle.]

Damn. That's going to save a lot of lives next time things hit the fan. I'm glad I voted for you right now, Mayor Baelish.

[ He does smile appreciatively after Jacob's comment. ]

While it will indeed help, ten thousand people is still only a small portion of our city's numbers. It'll continue to be a work in progress.

But as the leader of the Aegis Force, I do feel comfortable sharing the access codes with you so that you could help lead people there should there ever be a need.

Sounds great. I promise we'll keep the shelter and anyone inside safe. We'll schedule drills for getting there in a hurry and co-ordinate our evac protocols with city emergency services.

An excellent idea. The better we can get ahead of the chaos, the smoother things can go. Do let me know when you are free so that I can take you on a tour of the facility, as well as inform you of future plans.

A tour sounds great. I can make time this week, depending on how long it'll take to see the whole thing. Are we talking about an above ground structure here, or more like a bunker beneath the streets?

It runs beneath the streets. Which makes the fact that it has a garden quite incredible to me. I had Zoe Hange working on creating a food source down there before her departure. Science is quite remarkable, I must say. I don't know if you've heard of the time hydroponics before?

[ With a laugh. ]

I'm not sure I could explain it to you if you have not.

Hydroponics, huh? I've heard of it. It's an important tech where I'm from- hard to raise food in space without it.

Good to know the shelter's got some self-sufficiency built-in. It would be tough to keep that many people supplied through a lengthy emergency otherwise.

Precisely. I did not want to create a situation where people may be trapped for prolonged periods of time without food or water. And I also did not want to resort to them living out of tin cans predominantly. The objective is primarily shelter, but it is my hope as time goes on...it can become something a bit more comfortable as well.

Your focus has always been admirable.

I appreciate your kind words, Doctor Chilton. And I could say the same of you and your endeavors. How have you been since we last spoke?

Better. I can definitively say that I am better.

[He had only traces of shame, from when Baelish had seen him at his lowest point.]

That is relieving to hear, my friend. That you can stand and recover after all you have gone through is commendable. It shows an incredible strength of character.

Always with a kind word, Petyr. How do you have so many in stock?

One should always give praise where praise is due. It seems to be rather rare here, within these modern times.

You seem almost disappointed in modern society. As a whole.

Not terribly disappointed. There are great advantages to the way things are now. But there are certain customs and traditions I do wish could have been preserved throughout modernization -- were they even there in your society to begin with, since I do come from a completely different world.

Never too late to lead the charge, I imagine.

Well, I do hope to lead by example. I imagine the reason I have been able to get so far in this world is because I am courteous and polite.

[ While at the same time, being cutthroat. A trait one very quickly must learn to survive Kings Landing. ]

I'll admit that is a set of qualities rather foreign to our number.

[ Yato isn't a Maurtia Falls resident but that's an impressive structure. ]

Congratulations, Mayor Baelish. Maybe the rest of the cities should be looking to you for their cues.

Thank you, Yato. I think it is fortunate the other porter cities have not really needed to think about how to protect their citizens in the way Maurtia Falls has had to. But that said, I do believe precautions should always be taken as a sort of just in case.

It's the "just in case" that's worrying, you know?

How's it different being the Mayor versus being an Ambassador? What made you want to make the switch, anyway?

Being an ambassador, although it grants you a larger jurisdiction to change laws in the government as a whole, is rather limited to simply representing imPorts. I had wished to represent the city, and all of its citizens. Not merely a small portion. I've grown rather fond of this city....for all of its flaws.

[ Yato hums a little as he thinks that over. ]

Do you think the Ambassador positions are only for certain types of people?

Not at all. I've seen many different candidates and many different ambassadors in my time here. All of which have brought something unique to the table. I think anyone can be an ambassador if it is something they wish to do. And it is a great way to get involved with this world's government.

Even if they don't have any experience in that sort of thing?

[ a pause ]

Someone said I should run for one, but it's not like something I've ever done before and I'd be worried about... you know, messing it up.

[ He echoes with a smile. ]

I honestly don't believe there is much you could mess up. Be there for the people of your city. Listen to your fellow imPorts. Do not murder anyone -- I think if you can follow those basic rules, you would make a fine ambassador, Yato.

[ Yato's clearly pleased, but equally thinking it over with skepticism. It's one thing to daydream about being Japan's greatest god, but it's another to actually put a plan like that into motion, even if the ultimate decision rests with the imPorts as a whole through the voting process. ]

You sound pretty confident in that, Mayor Baelish...

We spoke at length once before. And while I've never been one to judge the gods....except to say they do not exist within my world -- I do believe I am a good judge of character. I think you would be the sort who could inspire others.

I... well... thank you...

[ Yato doesn't really know how to respond to that, because it's very forthright and he's only heard such things from a small handful of people. ]

I guess... next time it comes up, I could throw my hat into the ring.

I'm, not in your area. De Chima resident here. But I was wondering what search terms I should use to find out what happened there? I'm pretty new to this world, and I'd like to know what sort of dangers can happen here that result in so much loss of life that a city makes a huge bunker.

Sorry for the ignorance, I'm still working my way through history and am only on the 60's.

[ Baelish lets out a soft laugh. ]

When you get many individuals from different worlds in one world together and give them powers on top of all that, it goes about as well as you can expect. For as many people who will be heroic, there are also those who will seek to create destruction and chaos.

There have been mass murders, floodings, riots, alternate dimensions that made people transform into monsters. Likely if you can imagine it, it has happened within one of the porter cities.

Ah yeah. Like super villains? Is that term even used by the imPort community, or does it have some serious cultural baggage here?

[She pauses for a little, as if she was drifting off in thought for just a couple seconds.]

Has anyone been turned into a dog? That's not the depths of my imagination. It's just the first thing I thought of, and now I'm genuinely curious?

Yes. I've heard the term super villains used to describe certain people before. I cannot say it is a term I'm familiar with from my home world, but my world is vastly different from this one.

[ A beat. ]

I do not know of anyone being forcibly turned into a dog. But I do know of several people who could turn into dogs. Or....who were dogs to begin with. Talking dogs, mind you.

Okay, so the odds are it's not a slur if people use it openly here. In my world super villains only really exist in media, not real life. I just don't know what else to call 'a criminally antagonistic person who wants to do large quantities of damage and also has super powers' that isn't a sentence in and of itself.

[ There is a slight pause, and her voice starts up with the vaguest edge of childlike glee ]

This is the best information I've heard since I got here that didn't involve food.
