If you have wronged somebody in your past, how have you then made amends?
Or have you even attempted such a recompense?
Or have you even attempted such a recompense?

By knowing what you've done in the past, you can work on correcting the issue. The crux of the matter is your willingness to change and do good going forward. If you are sincere in your efforts, it will reflect positively on you.
You will never out run your past, and that is a fact you may need to come to terms with first. It will always be apart of you. You may never be forgiven for what you've done, so be prepared for that.

Sometimes you can't make amends. I think sometimes it's just not that easy.

The porter has allowed me this alternate form since my arrival here.
[Although he perhaps hasn't shown it so often to be noticed by everybody. It could be a convenient way to 'hide' in plain sight at times.]

[But that's not really the point of why he spoke up.]
I'm not sure what it is you intend by this topic as we've already discussed it, but there is no need to make anything up to me. Though there is virtue in trying.

It dependeth on the nature of the wrong. In some matters, recompense can be offered, but no force can compel the aggrieved party to accept.

They might not forgive you, but that's the best you can do sometimes.

Accept you probably can't make it up to them, but try anyway.
