[ Klaus fumbles with his camera, standing outside of a bookstore that seems to have a few new items on display. ]
Uh... guys?
[ He pans over a display of comics that seem to feature... him and his siblings, should anyone actually read them. ]
We have a slight situation here.
So much for the anonymity- Jesus Christ, where did they even get these...
[ Guess who meant to send this as a message to said siblings and instead posted it on the Network? This guy. ]
(( OOC: Just in case there is any confusion, these comics are NOT the real-world Umbrella Academy comics, but an in-universe comic book from the Netflix adaptation. You can see them in Episode 1x03, "Extra Ordinary"))

[ Klaus nods, like it all makes perfect sense. ]
Long story short, yes, I have a brother who’s name is Five.

So you guys were all super heroes back home, hunh? Guess coming here wasn't that much different for you.
no subject
You know. Family stuff.
[ He waves his hand like it's nothing to worry about. ]
Why, how different was your world? I'd love to hear about a place that didn't have time-traveling assassins.

[ He's not sure how to take someone talking about retiring from superherodom at 18 like it was no big deal. He really bit off more than he could chew with this conversation, didn't he? ]
Eh, pretty normal, minus the alternate world people could enter through TV screens.

Wait, what?
[ Talking to the dead, time travel, interdimensional horrors underneath someone's skin- you know, piece of cake. Traveling into an alternate world through a TV screen? What the fresh hell. ]
Whoa, whoa, wait a second- what?

Yeah, I mean. It could be a pain sometimes; any TV could access it, but if you wanted to go through, you needed a TV big enough to fit in, and... well, you can't always afford that on a detective's salary, you know what I mean?
[ He may be trolling again a little. Just a little. ]

[ Don’t mind him as he quickly puts something out off screen, he’s totally not smoking a joint, what are you talking about.]
I get it though, I mean most TVs I’ve seen are tiny- you want one big enough for someone as svelte as me to fit in and you gotta shell out the big bucks.

Right? And then there's all the Shadows and monsters on the other side. Man, it's such a pain.

[ Gross. Terrible world you live in if there's ghosts. He likes this one better. ]
