So a couple of months ago the not-quite-Lock-Ness-Monster shows up. Then a couple of weeks ago, the moon gets replaced. And now yesterday morning, it started hailing colored hail or something. Whichβas I was informed today by a guy at the coffee shop is actually pieces of the moon, which exploded, and the one we can see back in its old spot now is just a hologram fake.
[Not that anyone can see, but he takes a moment to sigh on his end. The exasperation might come through in his typing, somehow. It's just got that aura.]
I just want to know, does anyone else feel like we're living in a bad tabloid at the moment? I'm half-expecting Bat Boy to get ported in next.

But I've never heard of it, no.

Check that, at least one person probably did believe it.

a bad tabloid is probably too optimistic
at least those pretend to make sense

Then again I'm not sure I've ever looked beyond the covers at checkout.
Maybe they make more sense than I realized.

real life is messy, and there aren't always answers to things
made-up ones, if you're faking it from the start, it's easier to fake an ending that justifies everything
so you've never seen yourself on a cover of one?
or wondered what they think about you?
about us?

Still seems pretty hollow to me, though. Real life is messier but it's...real.
I try to stay pretty low-key so I've been lucky enough never to make a cover.
But I do wonder.
The FanPort thing was an 'interesting' close-up look but I suppose it only accounted for a certain perspective.

But I'll take your word for it. And offer you some sympathy if this is normal for you, sheesh.

By the way, that multicolored hail? It's as hard as rock.

Great. Now people are going to need to wear helmets outside.
I figured it wasn't really hail though. IS it rock?
