[The man that appears on the screen is dressed in what seems to be high tech superhero armour, complete with glowing chestplate and a fancy burgundy cape. He addresses the network with a smooth, quiet confidence.]

I am new to your world and I have been briefed on what is happening and why I was brought here. This country needs heroes to step up and I intend to do all that I can to defend against our enemies.

I am known as Mysterio, a name given to me by the people of Earth-616. I worked with The Avengers and I have travelled across dimensions and fought for multiple Earths. I, personally, am from Earth-833, a world destroyed by monstrous creatures known as The Elementals. But do not fear. If they appear here, I will deal with them as I defeated them on Earth-616 but they may still move through another dimensional rip - or find their way through your Porter. Where there are the elements of earth, air, fire and water, they always may form to cause havoc and destruction.

This is a warning and a caution, for that which may come.

But rest assured, good citizens of this Earth. I, Mysterio, will be the hero that you need.

Why would the people of Earth-616 give you the name Mysterio? He's, like, one of Spider-Man's B-list villains at best. No offense, I totally get the legacy thing, but why that legacy? The guy wears a fishbowl on his head.

Just wondering what you did to get stuck with such a terrible name. [She shrugs.] Or did the people of Earth-616 not tell you the history of the name before they gave it to you?

Where did these numbers come from? Who's assigning extra-dimensional and alternate realities numbers?

They were assigned by our technicians when the calamity tore a hole between dimensions. I'm afraid that I do not know how or why they were so named.

[ Lord, it almost makes her want to punch him in the face, that he can sound that way and seem to really mean it. But of course, he would when his foes had been creatures and not other human beings. She reminds herself of that to keep her expression cordial while her tone is a bit warning. ]

That's awful admirable of you, but you should know that not everyone here takes kindly to imPorts playing hero. Sure, there are cities where you'll have fan clubs popping up within the week, but that's not everyone, so be careful.

They are an opening that has been torn between dimensions, allowing travel between multiple worlds, such a different Earths. Some call it the multiverse.

Is there anything more specific you want to know about them?

Oh, no. I'm just curious. We call them fractures in the Bleed, where I'm from. The Bleed is the space between universes and some people have the technology to navigate through it, including my team. We numbered our different universes too but not quite in the same way as yours...

Have you been travelling through dimensions long?

Elementals destroyed your Earth, you say? Which Elementals?

They were made up, individually, of the elements of fire, water, earth or air.

Our scientists gave them technical names but most people just called them the Elementals.

[He appears to be totally serious in response, although there is a slight edge of irritation underlying that.]

If I read this in a book, I would think it was some overly invested and cheap unreliable narrator trying to tell us He's The Good Guy He Swears. I've been here long enough to know about alternate universe and such, so you're going to have to be more specific on who your Avengers are.
