[ Hello, it's your unfriendly neighborhood catgirl again. She's looking at the camera with an incredibly smug look on her face. You just know she's up to something. ]

So... was anybody gonna tell me today is a holiday? No? What's that, you didn't know?

Well, turns out it's a very special day in honor of me. That's right, it's International Cat Day. And, this is just my personal very humble opinion, but I really think to properly celebrate you should all do exactly what I say today.

Just saying, if you love cats, that is definitely what you should do.

[YOU HAD MORE TIME THAN HER CATRA. Earth colloquialisms are weird but she's trying. Customer and delivery service has not helped her avoid snark, either.] Was it? I thought I could do better, but why bother?

Did. Did you not hear the flatness of my voice? It denotes sarcasm.

And your point is? That's how you sound two-thirds of the time anyway. [Catra's other mode is "smug," so.] Don't worry though, next time I'll come up with a better one. That's the whole point of this right? Trying to "top" yourself?

Have fun trying, then. I'm already above you, so there's not really much of a point for me.

Okay, fine. [Lonnie smirks.] I'm sure that's what you used to say to Adora all the time. Must have been why she was always number two in class. Oh wait.

[Did she just go there? Oh yeah she went there.]

[ GROWLS ]

[Lonnie thought it was going to just be banter--figuring out dumb Earth trash talk--but it's not fun anymore when Catra just slips back to the same way things have always been.]

Look, this isn't the Fright Zone. There's no chain of command. We're here--together--until we find a way home.

[ Unfortunately, Lonnie has hit the Adora Button and thus, Catra isn't open for niceties right now. ]

You're free to move out, you know.

[You don't have to be nice to stop being an ass, Catra.]

Never said I wanted to. I haven't left before, so why would I leave now?

[Maybe this will make it worse, but she's tired of Catra acting like Lonnie is the one who abandoned them while playing cute with Adora.]

What are you getting at?

[ Catra has a hunch, but she wants to hear Lonnie say it. ]

[Lonnie could say what she thinks and probably have Catra mad at her for the rest of the month--or longer. Catra holds grudges--or she can play the appeasement game. She's never been one for hiding her feelings about things, but she also doesn't want to push Catra too far. She's pretty much the only person Lonnie has here. She lets out a sigh.]

Nothing, Catra. Just that I'm not going anywhere. We've fought all the time since we were kids. Not like you being you is gonna make me leave.

So you're gonna stay in a house with me. Even though you could move literally anywhere else?

[Lonnie is a little bit confused herself at why Catra is confused.]

Catra we've lived in the same barracks together for years. Your bunk is like five steps from mine. Here we even have our own rooms. Why would I move out?

[Lonnie is not going to admit that having her own room is weird and it's too quiet and she doesn't like the lack of other people breathing. There's supposed to be noises. Kyle's snoring or that hissing thing Rogelio does sometimes. At least, in the house, she knows Catra is just down the hall.]

Because you hate me and we would both be happier apart?

[ This seems logical to Catra, who has spent some time living in her own room even before ending up on Earth. While it was an adjustment at first, she found it relieving more than anything else.

There was only one person she truly missed, anyway. ]

Seriously? If I hated you that much, I wouldn't have stayed on your squad after you got promoted. [Lonnie pauses.]

...Oh, right. You don't remember any of that stuff.

[That their team stayed together, even though Catra was a Big Shot now. Even though she had Scorpia and kept going off on her own to fight with Adora.]

[ Catra raises an eyebrow at Lonnie. Obviously there is still stuff Lonnie is keeping from her, but she'll tease that out of her at another time. ]

As if you stayed for me, and not because there's no better place for you to go, anyway.

[That's not entirely wrong, even though Lonnie knows she had plenty of friends who would have been happy with her on their squads.]

I stayed because we're a team. Even if you are a jerk who thinks you're better than everyone else.

[ Well, that is some new and conflicting information for Catra to chew on. She quite remembers the bullying, but is too proud to bring it up directly; so in the end, she just scoffs. ]
