[Video] A confession - full of spoilers
My name is Quentin Beck. Some of you may know me as Mysterio.
I arrived in this world just a couple of short weeks ago and I have to confess that I embellished the truth of my origins.
I am not from Earth-833. Nor Earth-616. A couple of you already spotted the errors in my story there.
The Earth I'm from isn't numbered and, evidence to the contrary here notwithstanding, was the only one that I had known.
There never were any Elementals. My world wasn't destroyed by them. It was a story. A tall tale to create a heroic backstory for myself. That I aim to be a hero is not a lie but getting people to listen to you without some grand, epic story and fancy outfit just doesn't work these days.
One more thing: I worked with Tony Stark, years ago. Not the one that was here, but the one I knew on my Earth. We had a disagreement over the importance of what I was doing with my technology and he fired me.
I'm sure that some of you feel vindicated in your suspicions, especially the ones who claim to know of me in other worlds. Let me just say that I am not the Mysterio you have heard about before.
And, in time, I will prove it to you all.

Wow, that sure is a lot of words without a hint of an apology. But Peter did give him the option not to mention all the horrible stuff he did, so ... fine. He can deal with this. ]
Good luck.
[ He means it. You’re gonna need it. ]
Thank you?
[Since he's keeping other names out of it he'd rather apologise in person, directly to Peter - and explain further when they meet. For now, he's just confessing to the Elemental lie, as instructed.]

If this is a ploy to mess with Peter, we'll have a lot of trouble.
[Guess who made friends with a friendly neighborhood Spider-Man and heard ALL about your time back home, Beck?]

[Georgia doesn't know if this is all of the truth. Considering he's admitting to having lied to begin with, she has her doubts. But it means something that he's confessing.]
In my experience, the truth is always a better choice. Now, prove you mean it.
[She doesn't know him or any other Mysterio. She just cares a lot about the truth.]

Why on earth would you make up something so horrible as Elementals destroying your home?

Actually? I didn't. I used to have a team to help me with the storylines...

Must not have been a good story, if you have to scrap it in two weeks.

Honestly? As long as I could. I did think it would go on a little long than two weeks... A few months, maybe?
I had my reasons.
