Tell me about your favorite literary genres? Or your favorite books/stories? I need to do some market research or something.
I've been in a rut with my writing for several months, which is a bummer because I just graduated. So I now probably NEED TO WORK, but I'm a writer who hates everything I try to write right now.
It's very lame.
Alternatively, I'll take suggestions for career paths. Keep in mind that my degree is widely panned as being functionally useless.

It was compiled diary entries, more or less. I have tons more similar material, but I'd have trouble making it thematically cohesive, I think. I'm also pretty sure it's not interesting.
So I'm not against the concept! I just feel... Boring? Similarly uninspired?

It's not a life-or-death problem. I have things I can do for a "living," I just... Want to write and feel good about it and love what I put out.
Probably a pretty universal problem.

What made you want to write to start with?

It's always been easier to write things down than to speak them.

I mean that literally and metaphorically.

Yeah. I probably could've worked over my last book forever. I still don't know how I want to leave it, you know?
Maybe I should impose some kind of consequence-laden deadline upon myself.

That's not a bad idea. You just have to make it something you can't shrug off easily. No smacking the snooze button allowed.

... Maybe I can tie it to a holiday or something, like having a manuscript wrapped before Christmas.

I might have a bit of a book club going soon. Maybe I'll leave it to them.

Re: text;
... I guess there could be two branches, though. I can read more than one book at a time.
