So, superheroes. And superpowers! We didn't have anything like that in my world. [ A pause, an embarrassed laugh. ] But you probably hear that all the time from newcomers. I'm sure I'm not breaking any new ground here.

Alright, how about this ...

[ He leans forward and lifts a hand toward the feed; a small blue flame springs to life at the center of his palm. He eyes it like it's new to him, strange and potentially unwelcome. ]

Apparently I can do this. It's not hot, it doesn't really feel like anything, and ... honestly, I'm not sure what it does. But I feel like I should name it. A superhero always has a signature move with a cool name, right? [ An uncertain grin. ] I'm taking suggestions.

[ He quenches the fire and shifts to turn the broadcast off, but pauses, suddenly remembering: ] Oh, I remember what I was wondering! What's the weirdest power you've ever heard of? Not everyone can have flight or invisibility, right? There have to be some really weird things out there when everyone gets one. Go ahead, make me feel better about the blue fire thing.

As for less traditional powers, I knew someone skin and muscles were composed of translucent bio-paraffin. Basically, living wax. He was highly flammable, but also very durable.

Alchemical flames. I'm not sold on it. Isn't all fire technically alchemical, just by its nature?

Living wax, though, that is pretty impressive. Could he reshape himself, change his look? Smell pleasant?

I suppose that depends on your definition of weird, doesn't it? I had once counted the use of rats to be common among those with abilities, but here that gets a much different reaction.

But perhaps this will suffice - a witch I happened to know back home could see and speak to others through marble depictions of herself, even across the seas.

Weirdest powers I've seen, I'd say, the guy that could ruffle things by touching them, and the guy that could turn parts of his body into machines. Weirdest ones I've heard of... there was someone who could make it rain pie and baseballs, and someone else could make it rain potato chips.
