003. - Book Club!

Alright, so I've suggested this a little to some friends of mine, but I'm thinking about throwing this out a bit wider.

I'm thinking about starting up a book club. Less in the style of book of the month and more organizing one or possibly more groups who can share books or even genres they love most with other people. People would still do the whole guiding discussion but not looking for high end critique so much as just talking about it.

We all need something to unwind and I don't doubt some of us are really fans of reading. I would think the arrangement might work best with members willing to buy their own books. I think for the first few meetings I'd be willing to cook either a simple meal or some finger foods to enjoy, but people could also volunteer to provide food or drinks.


Anyone interested in the idea?

Friendship is definitely good basis for things. I started as friends with my ex-girlfriend.

Imagine all you want. She was Japanese, so I speak and read that. And she dyed her hair electric blue.

Don't remember whether I told you or not. Demon ripped my heart out, it upset her. She kissed another guy to push me away. It worked.

We never really... connected much after that.

It really was. I haven't been in a relationship since that. Probably for the best.

Doesn't mean I can't see a good thing. And you and Marco have potential.

No, Peter, it isn't. There's no guarantee you'll see her here, or that we'll remember things when we go back. I don't know the physics of all of this. Hell, we could be clones with memories implanted in us, imitations of the genuine articles.

Things are pretty stable, actually. Kylo and Ronan are being really nice about letting me stay, plus Marco and I found an abandoned mansion not too far up the road. Guess some Russian space Emperor used to live there.
