[Video] An accidental, personal rant
[warning: threads could potentially contain manipulation, emotional abuse, violence]
[In complete rejection of the vulnerability within himself - the sadness and weakness that he felt his unwanted shadow version had projected - Beck has become more unstable, spurred on by the feeling of lacking control. He's been working with his tech and while frantically pushing buttons, he's accidentally switched on to broadcast.]
Okay, let's do this one more time...
[He's speaking to the side, at something not seen by the camera. His voice is tense.]
It isn't enough that you made me feel like I was this small.
[His fingers close down to nothingness.]
No, not even that small. That I didn't exist.
Or that it felt like I was dead and gone and still should only be spoken about as a waste of space.
No. No, no no...
[He shakes his head, grimacing and the tension is starting to boil up and over.]
No, now you have to bring that into it--
[He points at something again out of camera range.]
Something that really, really shouldn't exist. I'm past that. I'm better than that. Despite your best efforts to keep me invisible, I'm not. People see me. People know who I am, for better or... for worse.
[He clenches his jaw at those words, fists forming at his sides.]
I'm noticed. That's what's important here.
Right? Right?
[His voice is rising, passionately angry.]
I am a known entity. I am Mysterio!
[He makes a grand sweeping gesture and his formerly regular clothing instantly transforms and reveals he's actually wearing his flashy hero suit.]
This is who I am now. It's who I'm meant to be - and you are not going to stop me. Not by your words. Not by your memory. Nothing you can do can stop me.
[He's glaring angrily past the camera then he raises his hands, green energy forming around them. His voice is quieter but now deadly.]
I should have killed you in more than just a story.
[And he lets the energy flash across the room in a bright, destructive blast. The shock of it is enough to jar the device and cut off the feed.]

[Audio]
[A beat.]
Oh, wait, you're supposed to be this great hero who's going to save us all.
Re: [Audio]
perma-audio
The lack of pompous overacting is what sells it.
Re: perma-audio
So you're saying it's like a So Bad It's Good movie but for villain speeches?

But pretty much, yeah.

[Bart really doesn't want to talk about Wally or that kind of stuff.]
He's a member of my family. The one Grandma brought me to when she realized the future no place for me.

You're calling me the villain here?
[He sounds incredulous.]
[Audio forever here]
So you sound like one. Jury's still out on actions, because those are what count in the end.

Also, which villains? You're always pretty cagey on these things we scientifically-minded people like to call facts and evidence.

[He's not yet clarifying who he means.]

I've failed to rescue people. I've done things that ensured that events that might alter who lived and died in a particular moment in time didn't alter the integrity of a given timestream. I've never set out to murder someone.

[His words may not make a lot of sense without context.]

I got uprooted from the only life I knew and tossed into a completely alien environment at a young age. Then the only family I had basically passed me off as not worth the effort. But you don't see me ranting and raving. Everyone has things in their lives that suck. Everyone has baggage.

Yet here I am, proving him wrong.
[And really doing a terrible job at that... but his unstable ego won't allow him to admit that. He also is in such a state, he's not making sure any of this is private.]

Good luck with those demons of yours. Looks like you'll need it.
[And Bart may start keeping a more obvious watch on Peter, just in case. This guy has a few screws loose and his friend has born the brunt before.]
