video;
[ When the video starts, it's obvious Henry's in his room, which is not where he'd prefer to be. With it being the weekend, he'd much rather be outside exploring De Chima a little more, but today it's just really gloomy outside and it looks like it might rain any second. That's not necessarily a deterrent, but it's the kind of weather that's more conducive to relaxing indoors and watching movies. So, that's what he's been doing until relocating back to his room for the time being. He hasn't really had a chance to meet as many people on this network as he'd like, so that's what compels him to speak now.
Mostly he just has questions.
Questions are a good way to start a conversation, right? ]
I was wondering...does anyone else have experience with...healing? Not the kind of healing where you fix someone's broken bones, or cuts or anything. But where you fix their...heart, I guess? Their mind. Empathic healing, it said in my packet. So I should be able to make someone feel better if they're sad or scared, or upset in some way. I just was wondering how many other people can do that, too.
[ He really likes the idea of that, but it's not as straightforward to him as his other power (even though it makes sense to him, of course): forcefields. He hasn't tried either yet, but forcefields are something you can see, you know what you're doing and if it's working. ]
I'm Henry, by the way. I live in De Chima, and my mom's here - well, one of them - so that's pretty cool.
Do you like where you're living right now? What do you like to do for fun?
Oh, and if you're living in De Chima too, where can I get the best pizza?

[ He's definitely impressed by that power. ]
So for pizza, you take sauce and lots of cheese, and you put it on this dough that you roll out into a big circle. You can put other toppings on, like pepperoni or sausage or mushrooms and stuff, but I think just plain cheese is still the best.
Hang on, I'll text you a picture.
[ Just describing it doesn't do it justice. ]

[He's too young to know everything that actually happened, right?]
I used that to take down a giant lizard that was made up of little boxes, though!
[Winry studies the picture, not understanding why it'd be good.]
Hmmm...
[ That would be quite a lot to take in, for the first time. And he...doesn't yet know everything that happened. ]
That's pretty impressive.
[ He's confused by her reaction, but that's okay, it might just take a little extra explaining. ]
Do you...like cheese? The cheese is what really makes the pizza good.
[She needs to try pizza, Henry. It's just not a visual experience.]
Mmm, I like cheese!
[ That's really impressive, for someone who looks to be not much older than him.
And based on her reaction to the picture he's texted her, he understands. ]
I think you have to just try it for yourself. Trust me, you'll love it. I haven't met anyone who doesn't like pizza.
...But I'm back in school now.
[And it's really weird.]
But I have a job, too, and we're going to try to build on my knowledge from back home to make limbs here.
[She'll ask around, find out about this pizza.]
I will, I promise!
I'd do anything to help my family and friends, too.
[ School is weird period, in his opinion. Personally, he wouldn't mind taking a break for a while again, though wouldn't really drop out because he does like some things about it. ]
I hope it works, that'll help a lot of people. I have a job, too, but it's not really important at all.
But when you do try the pizza, let me know what you think!
We've been through a lot together, Ed, Al, and me. They're here, so you might meet them sometime.
It's good to have friends and family. [She nods her agreement, her high color fading.]
What kind of job do you do?
[She grins.] I'll be happy to!
I hope I meet them, I'm sure they're great.
It's...not much, really. I'm a balloon vendor. [ It seems pretty mediocre compared to what she's doing. ] But I can make some pretty cool balloon animals.
[She brightens at his job comment.] That sounds like fun!
So, what do you do for fun? You have to relax sometimes, right?
[ He smiles softly. ]
[She's absently twirling a screwdriver like a baton as she answers.]
I have a dog, her name is Zoey. I take her for walks. And I like to bake pies and cookies.
[She waves the screwdriver at the room behind her.]
This is a lot of fun, too!
[ Oh, and the baking thing sounds cool. ]
I've never really done much baking, but I love trying pies and cookies. So I'm always happy to be an official taste tester. Do you live in De Chima?
[ So many people live in Heropa, it seems. ]
What are you working on in that room? Working on the limbs thing, or something else?
I'd be happy to have an official taste tester! But I live in Heropa. With the Porter, though, you could come see me, or I could come see you, if your mom would let us. I'd be happy to meet her, too.
[She nods in answer to the question about what she's doing.] I work with Tony Stark, or for Tony Stark. We're trying to figure out how to take my knowledge of automail and combine them with the technology he knows, to make something really amazing. So I'm designing some specs - um, diagrams - for him to look at.
Yeah, maybe I'll come visit soon. My mom won't mind, I don't think, she's pretty easy-going about that stuff.
[ Also he could...maybe sneak off sometimes, but he'll try not to, not wanting to worry her. He's not a bad kid at all, hardly ever gets into trouble, but he definitely has an insatiable curiosity and thirst for adventure. ]
Awesome. Maybe if I get to visit, you could show me?
...sneaking off? Really? Not like she hasn't done any of that herself, after all, and participated in some of protecting others sneaking off.]
[ He's beaming, really. ]
I should...probably go get something to eat, but...is it okay if I call you or text you sometimes, maybe?
[ He likes making friends, and he's serious about trying to visit her. ]
...and eat cookies.
[Because. Boys and cookies.]
[ Yep, still smiling. It'll be nice, maybe making some friends. ]
[She's grinning back.]
[OOC: Feel free to tag in to Winry's cooking baking party, which I'm going to put up soonish...it was last week, it'll be this week sometime...]
