Depends what world you're from. In mine we can fight them.

In mine too that is common. Do you use spells, weapons or both?

Both. The spells wasn't exactly from ourselves, but saying more would reveal too much for my liking.

Is magic simply something that exists in your world?

I understand the desire for privacy.

It exists alongside the elements, but it can be created by a person's golden core.

The elements...we sort of have something like that, but note quite. I'd say it's more expanded. We don't have anything as a concept called the golden core either. For the most part, humans don't even know magic or another world exists.

Those who use magic in your world aren't considered human?

Well if that was the cast I wouldn't be considered human either. It's more that the idea of magic is more fantasy than reality, if that makes sense.

Only certain people find out that it's real.

Yes, I understand. Commoners likely share that opinion until they are in need of a cultivator's talents.

It's almost better if it remains a fantasy.

Cultivators are what they call magic users from your world, then? Or is it people born or able to use magic?

Cultivators serve a specific purpose; we are not simply those who use magic. We fight and we defend.

Do cultivators work by themselves or are they more like a magical police force?

We work together if the threat is great enough. [He had been such a threat.]

The sects have their own men and women, so it isn't often that we contact one another for aid.

And the demons, what are they like? Ours would take many different forms, meaning we need to change strategy for each one.

They take many forms and not all of them can be killed or contained with this or that method. We must adapt.

There was a longstanding rumor at my school that one-hundred boys were killed in a fire, and that they may still haunt Nemuro Memorial Hall. Something like that... I'm not too sure about the details. It seems a bit dramatic, doesn't it?

Hauntings are not uncommon in my world. Your school has need of a Cultivator to put them to rest if the rumor is true.

Have there been any odd circumstances? Possessions? Sightings?

What's a Cultivator?

If you encountered a true haunting, you would know it to be credible.

Someone who is trained to slay demons, put spirits to rest and protect the common folk.

I don't believe we have those where I'm from, so it's just as well that the credibility of the story remain a mystery.

Odd things can happen here, too, however. I wonder if Jeopardy is still as strange as it was before. It's been rather hard to tell.

They used to be people, yeah? Usually some level of asshole. But sounds like you already got your mind made up.

I do not think humans are inherently evil. I have seen spirits that are sad or angry and I have seen spirits that are nearly as wicked at demons.

So, called it. Demons are assholes.

But, sure. Some people can be okay. But if you got such big regrets you stick around, probably did something wrong to somebody.

Not always. There are spells that can confine a spirit to this plane.
