I think... we're all pretty content to pretend last month didn't happen, but, uh... Being there just made me think, that like, it's so weird to be in a world where people being nice is more common than people being shitty again...
[ a pause. he seems to be trying to find the right words here. ]
Do you think a world like that can change?
Like... if people hate you so much, or like, if they wanna use what makes you special as a weapon, can that ever get better? Or, like... at some point, does it really just make more sense to pick everybody up and move somewhere far away, and like, just... hope nobody comes after you?

After seeing how that other world turned out... I’m starting to think this sort of thing is destined to keep happening, whether it’s mutants or metas or imPorts.

This is going to keep happening, and I think we're going to keep getting killed if we keep trying to win people over with compassion instead of force.

I don't even know where we'd all go. The people from this world would just follow us anyway. And we all know that if you have a power that could hurt, maim, or kill someone there's always going to be a large group of people that thinks you're a threat.

I just think its a lot easier to protect a place we're all at. It's like, y'know - we're drawing a line in the sand. Saying if you come over here with intent to harm then its your own fault when you get hurt.
