So why the sudden invitation or do I need to wait until we're actually eating to hear the news.

[One of them raises onto her hind-legs, sniffing at him. The other grabs a toy and runs into another room. Meng Yao watches them with affectionate amusement before glancing back at Xue Yang.]

Wei Wuxian and Lan Wangji are no longer with us.

[Eyebrows shoot up and the corners of his lips twist into a smirk.]

Guess we don't really have anyone to be worried about now. [Or at least he doesn't. It's like a free pass for mischief.]
