[The audio seems to be being recorded from somewhere outside, the flow of traffic somewhere distant.]
I hath a query for you, fellow ImPorts, though one of less pressing concern than the conundrums others hath posed of late.
What is thine view of the arts of divination and prophecy? I hath come to understand that the intertwining of magic and science of mine own world is not the norm upon all of the stars and their reflections we hail from, even here upon this reflection of Earth it seems that they art of different schools entirely.
Thus being said, if any of you have an interest in divinations I would gladly do so for thee. Practicing to better attune to the flow of magics here shalt only benefit mine own mastery.
[A pause, as he considers his next set of questioning.]
Those of a more scholarly mindset amongst our numbers, is there a convocation of us anywhere? I hath found it... vexatious of late to attempt research with the libraries closing at night and wish to discuss theoretical matters with those of similar academic backgrounds.

Fascinating. What then is the differences between the "mystick artes" of thine world and the sciences?

magic is when someone flings around dangerous quantum physics formulas they barely understand and science is what smart people do
Re: text
What of those who do understand the arithmatic of quantum physics and still as thou say 'fling them around'? Doth they need show their work upon paper before thou decide they hath intelligence? I can happily rewrite mine thesis on the nature of shifts in the energies of the world and how they can be manipulated and held in differeing arrays depending upon the nature of said energy and the source of it.

Sorry, you're kinda... hard for me to understand. Are you asking for help figuring out how magic works here? Or, like, looking for a wizard club?
Re: audio
I seek fellow academics of the sciences, of which magic is upon mine own world and it's reflections.

But where I'm from, magic and science? Two veeeeery different things. Sometimes they're even considered to be opposites.
audio
Such a thought as magic being the opposite of science is... anathema to the way the world and all of the myriad wonders art studied in my understanding of them. I shall likely need create a guide for mineself in how to explain things for those who doth refuse to consider the aetheric aspects of a situation.

The position of this Earth in space is somewhat different from my own, seeing as I come from approximately 200 years beyond this time point. But I know enough about where things are and where they should be.

[Hell, he's seen enough things and enough powers to know very little isn't possible at this point.]
People not take you seriously back home?
[Is it because you talk like that?]
audio;
[He's dealt with both.]
I hath always been taken seriously upon my home world, it is here that I hath gotten the feeling that those who study divination and other forms of magic art not taken as academics upon all worlds and their reflections.

[Something he'd never actually do, nor does he have an actual catchphrase.]
Probably because most people who claim to see the future here are charlatans, pure and simple.

It's hard to know if it's real or not. There aren't a lot of things in this universe written in stone. Not even the things that had been proven to be written in stone countless of times through experiments.

So, that's one.
Then there is the law of conservation, where matter cannot be created or destroyed. Everything has to come from something else, even if it's been broken down into its original elemental particles or something like heat and pressure has transformed it. Like ice turning into water and then that becoming water vapor. That one has been studied for a number of decades, but it could still be proven wrong as we encounter more of the universe.
