WILL YOU HELP SAVE THE WORLD?

Mask or Menace is a panfandom urban 'superhero' genre DWRP game, where heroes, villains, and everyone in between seek to survive and thrive in a world loosely parallel to our own.

So I have a problem. I'm working at this place called Medieval Days Dinner Theatre but they keep complaining about stuff like "my courtly manners".

[ He's even in his costume now, with the tunic and sword and everything. It's clearly made for him, probably banking off the celebrity status of imPorts to get butts in the seats. ]

I'm supposed to keep acting like a knight even when I'm not doing fake sword fights, but I don't get it! None of the knights I've met acted like they want me to! I don't see the point of all these flowery phrases they tell me to say.

Then when a customer is being a huge jerk, I'm told off if I try to stop them! They say if I get in one more fight with a guest, they'll put me on dishes. Even though real knights aren't supposed to let people harass the weak!

Ugh. [ He's frustrated, that much is clear. ] What am I supposed to do?

[Never has Estinien found himself a fan of machines, mistrusting them greatly the more they resembled something that could think. Someone might call him a Luddite, and that someone would be right. However, even he knows he cannot go completely without using it in this world, though he would utterly strive to. He knows the benefits these strange machines offer, even if those benefits are ones he rarely seeks.

However, in this case...he cannot deny the necessity of such widespread communication. As the feed clicks on, the viewers are greeted with a man of long, shaggy, white hair. His unkempt bangs more or less covering his dark eyes, while the rest of it frames his long and pointed features. From either side of his head are pointed ears which would label him to most as an elf. He would correct them that he is an Elezen.

Also, the backdrop behind him is that of the sky, like he might be somewhere pretty high up. He is, actually, he's on the tallest building he could find in Heropa, because that's just...what he does.

His is an expression of forced stoicism, with the tinges of uncertainty and discomfort. He's never been a social person, and as stated previously, never one for machines such as these. This entire situation is utterly uncomfortable. As he speaks, his is a voice both low and gruff, with a bit of an underlying growl to it.]

...I seek an armorer.

[That's a good start...]

One that may yet be familiar with with dragon-blessed armor. 'Tis from ancient times, one forged through dragon's flame. 'Tis not a job for a novice—eagerness does not beget skill.

[Oh wait, he's forgotten something important, hasn't he? Like his name, perhaps?]

I will await your response.

[Oh nope, he's leaving it at that.]

[There's not much to hear in the background when Edwon starts recording. It's quiet, deliberately so, making him easy to hear. And when he speaks, it's with an imperial British accent.]

I've recently arrived, and I have a couple of questions. First: Are there really no stars?

Normally I'd be able to sense them - I'm Miraluka, so I don't have eyes - but here there's nothing. And I can feel the heat from a local sun, but as far as I can tell, it's not actually in the sky.

[He sounds really confused, though he's been doing enough digging to both know that the sun is in its rightful place, and to have some idea as to why he can't sense it. He just wants to know how people react to this.]

And so far I've only run into Humans. Are there really no other species here?

Good guys my ass.

[The face that comes into view glares into his screen, not bothering to hide his contempt. How it's possible to judge the network so early is a mystery, but somehow he's managed to.]

Good guys don't waste my time with shitty assignments and craptoos. What the fuck is an anger management facility?! It's better off bein' recycled into fireworks-

[His free hand, cupping his chin, twitches, tense and restless. Blowing up his newly assigned workplace would certainly help soothe his anger, but it's probably illegal. Shame. As disgruntled as the teen appears, Katsuki didn't come on the network to complain. He scoffs, takes a breath, and:]

OKAY, LISTEN UP!!!

I'm looking for anyone from UA- hell, anyone from our rival schools. People with quirks. Whatever. If you don't know what I mean, answer this:

How do I make some real money in this shithole? Enough money to start my own agency.

Don't waste my time telling me you don't got any answers, or I'll kill ya.

[He slams his hand down on the table. And if he accidentally singes the table, well. It was an ugly table to begin with.]

[The audio seems to be being recorded from somewhere outside, the flow of traffic somewhere distant.]

I hath a query for you, fellow ImPorts, though one of less pressing concern than the conundrums others hath posed of late.

What is thine view of the arts of divination and prophecy? I hath come to understand that the intertwining of magic and science of mine own world is not the norm upon all of the stars and their reflections we hail from, even here upon this reflection of Earth it seems that they art of different schools entirely.

Thus being said, if any of you have an interest in divinations I would gladly do so for thee. Practicing to better attune to the flow of magics here shalt only benefit mine own mastery.

[A pause, as he considers his next set of questioning.]

Those of a more scholarly mindset amongst our numbers, is there a convocation of us anywhere? I hath found it... vexatious of late to attempt research with the libraries closing at night and wish to discuss theoretical matters with those of similar academic backgrounds.
