What are your opinions on secrets?

What about knowledge of others you have due to the world/universe/dimension you are from?

How do you know when a secret is necessary?

I... I guess it would depend on what the purpose is of keeping it. What are the consequences of speaking it out loud? Is it something that affects only you or has wider implications?

That is a good question. The ones I am thinking about in particular certainly would have wider implications. But then comes the question: would it help the people make better decisions if they knew?

That is difficult to say, but I believe that people strive to be good. Their decisions are rooted in kindness, so perhaps them knowing is not a bad thing.

Maybe at the beginning. But there are some people who have different definitions of "good". I guess I might have to go with a case-by-case basis.

Regardless, what is it that you want to come out of this situation? Would you prefer to keep a secret or is it easier for you to be transparent?

[bifroster]

It's certainly easier to keep everything a secret. There would be a lot of explaining if I were to be transparent and it might have more consequences than I can guess.

I... I suppose I can understand that.

I do not believe that secrets are possible to be kept in the long term. However, I do hope that regardless of the choice you are ready for the consequences. At least if you reveal the secret you can make a choice of when and how you share it, rather than it falling out of your control entirely.

I guess, ultimately, that is what I am trying to prevent: the damage not being in control of when or how the secret is revealed can potentially contain.

I hope I'll be ready too, when the time comes.

Do not force yourself to handle more than you can. There is no weakness in asking for help or trusting others when the time comes.
