001 - [Voice]

[The voice on the other side is most certainly half-awake, or just recently woken up. To be perfectly fair, the first thing Ochako did once she was given all the necessary information and her residency key, was head right for said residence and fall face first into her bed to sleep off the massive headache and nausea that overtook her when she came in. She was told it was normal for ImPorts to undergo these minor side-effects, and Ochako smiled and played it off easily enough, but she knew the real reason for her extreme fatigue the moment she got in.

Stress, mostly...but also a slew of various memories all hitting her at once, like a baseball bat to the side of her head. The migraine was unimaginable, to the point she had to hold down some serious sick, but she's gotten better about keeping the contents of her stomach in their rightful place. Some painkillers (thank goodness for that pay allowance), a heavy nap, and some water later and she blinks tiredly at her communicator, unsure of where to go from her initial hello.]

Mm...I sort of know what's going on, so I don't think I need too much information? My head still kind of hurts from it all... O-Oh, um, this is Ur-- [She pauses, then clears her throat. Right, right, not sure exactly who is and isn't here, so better play it safe. If just about anyone can get taken here...] Uravity. I-I don't know if the video is on? Let me know, this thing is so strange, I barely know how to work it...

[Says the girl still using a flip phone, since she could never afford those pricey smartphones. Maybe here, she can finally upgrade...or actually learn to use this thing-a-majig. It's practically the same, anyway...]

Oh, anyone from U.A. Highschool, um...just let me know you're here? Please... A-And anyone else rea--eh...hearing this? I'd love some recommendations to clothing and grocery stores that are well priced! Or maybe some restaurants and take-out. [She's not exactly Iron Chef or anything, after all. Plus, Ochako half feels like she's imposing on her housemate. It'll take some time to get used to living with strangers, and getting to (hopefully?) know them a little better. This was so different than living in the dorms with all her classmates. Her friends. This felt so much more...impersonal.]

O-Oh and... [She touches her two index fingers together, blushing, despite the camera not being on.] S-Somewhere to get a cute plush toy or two... M-My room feels so empty.

[That, and she sort of, kind of, wants a little buddy to hold on to. It's grounding, and she still has a lot of her mind.]

Hello, Uravity-san. The video isn't on but one of the buttons on the side will explain open a manual about the communicators.

The communicator will also let you see who is part of the network, if your friends are here, you'll be able to find their names there.

[There's a soft "oh" as Ochako fiddles with the controls like instructed, and after a minute or two, she appears on screen! She seems a bit startled to see herself in the miniature preview image - especially since she looks so darn haggard, oof... - but she still offers up a smile of thanks.]

I got it, thank you!! I'll try that next in a minute, too, but I think one of my teachers just found me, ehehe. I appreciate the help though, I don't have a fancy device like this where I'm from.

It's no problem. And I'm glad you found someone you know, here. It's always better to have a familiar face than being completely along. [ yeah, kaneki's wishful thinking ]

Some of the technology here is a bit different, but I think it ends up being intuitive after few tries.

Uraraka! Hey there kiddo! Take a breath and let it out easy ok? Wanna clue me in on where you've been placed? If it'll help I can head on over and give you a bit of a tour!

[She sounds nervous, to be honest. He can't blame her. But with Uraraka's arrival, He's already going to be on high alert for anyone else showing up. It's almost like clockwork.]

[Oh!! She'd recognize that voice anywhere! A wave of relief and delight hits Uraraka after but a moment - she knew Mic-sensei was here, but hadn't seen or spoken to him yet. And considering the length of time it'd been since her last visit...anything could have happened.]

Sensei! [...Ah, he caught that, huh? There's no denying it now. There's a deep inhale, and a long exhale as he instructed - she's learned some centering and meditative techniques from Gunhead, but it's not easy to put those into practice, especially when she's nervous about anything other than a villain attack.] I'm at, um...Hero...pa...Heropa? Number six!

And I'd like that a lot!! [There's a bit of an excited, mini clap on the other side of her communicator. If there's anyone she could feel most comfortable around, it's one of her teachers. Besides, talking in person is probably a better idea than over the comms.] Thank you, Mic-sensei.

[Heropa. That's definitely better than Jeopardy or Maurtia, to be honest. He'll make sure to write the location down, for future reference, and likely to also pass on to Toshinori when he sees him next.]

You got it! Heropa 6, I'll make my way out there in about an hour. I've got some things to wrap up here before I can get out the door. Luckily traveling between these porter cities are pretty snappy, yo!

Try to give yourself a break ok?? You're gonna be alright, there's plenty of us around. [Familiar faces he means, not necessarily other imPorts.]

Maybe we can find what you're looking for while we're out on tour. [The plush, and checking out for places for food etc...]

[Katsuki hesitates before he says anything. So Ochako is here. Did she remember anything from before? Something unpleasant settles in his chest and he sighs, leaving it on voice and keeping his inflection flat.]

[Oh, she remembers. It's half the reason she's been a bit high-strung after really arriving, on top of several other things. And also why she nearly leaps at her communicator upon hearing his voice, like it suddenly growled at her.]

Bak--! [The feed cuts out suddenly, for a minute or two, before it resumes, and Ochako sounds winded.] S-S-SORRY!! I HIT THE WRONG BUTTON!

Um...hi. [...] How are you?

[Woof. This is going swell.]

[God, this shit is awkward and he barely stifles a groan. He shouldn't have said anything. There were plenty of other people here who could help her out, that she'd surely want to be around more than him. It's not like they were even really friends (regardless of what she said). He did a great job of proving her wrong on that one.

He's about to turn it off and just break something when she responds.]

Fine. [Way too casual and flat, and a beat later.] Where you living?

[ A young woman with curly hair appears on the feed, the backdrop of the video evidently her bedroom. She rotates her camera to focus on floating wall shelves decorated with some small plants, house decor, but also some stuffed animals such as this one. ]

I've gotten most of my plush toys from this small, but adorable toy shop in Heropa. It's family owned and they give discounts if you can prove you're an imPort.

[There's a quiet "ooh" as the camera pans the room, then a sudden giggle and a mutter of "aww" as it stops on the teddy. Oh man, just seeing that made Ochako realize how much interior decorating she has to do. She's a simple thing, nothing overly gaudy, but...a personal touch is always nice.]

Heropa?! That's where I'm living currently! Is it far? I'm not really familiar with the area, but I think I can find my way around with an address... Maybe this thing has a GPS, or a map... Th-Thank you, miss!

[She laughs a bit, rubbing the back of her neck with one hand. Yeah, she knows he's right, but it still feels weird asking over what's essentially Face Time about directions to places and a general rollcall of people she knows. Ochako feels like a tourist or something. Everything is just so much at once.]

Right, right... I guess it's just a lot to take in all at once. Ehehe, I'm still trying to catch up with it all, and--eh?

Oh, um...U.A. is... [She prods her fingertips together, making a face before giving Hiro a truly searching look over the video feed. Not anyone she recognizes from the League of Villains, and way too young to be any of the masked or hooded individuals... He may even be younger than she is, or just around the same age, maybe? It should be fine.] Well, it's the school I attend back home for my Hero training and general studies - and it's a well known name, too...so I thought, if there's one way to get any my classmates, or teachers, to find me, it's to mention the school!

[She can probably hear the smile in his voice. As much as he knows he should be upset that more people he cares about are being taken...he can’t help it, it’s one of his best friends. He missed her!]

[The delight is mirrored back at him in her voice. While she remembered that quite a few of her friends were here, she was hoping to get in touch with Izuku especially. It has been some time, after all, and she's glad to hear his voice again, even if the situation is far from great.]

Eh, no, sadly... I'm in Heropa, number six. But I appreciate the offer!! Once I'm settled, we can get together and I can visit your city. Are you doing well, Deku-kun? What's it like over there? It's really hot here, but inside it's nice and cool, thankfully.

Mm! It's a lot to take in, and I'm sure I'm going to get lost at least once but... [Let's not think about that. Ochako laughs, leaning her face on her hand with a smile. She definitely does look tired, maybe a little stressed, but she'll get it out eventually. It's just that first day really weighing down on her that's got her all worked up.]

Ehehe, I'll take you up on that, Momo-chan - lunch and those stores - but you really don't have to pay for me... I have money, so don't feel like you need to get me anything.

[That's certainly...one way to look at the back-and-forth she'd been getting put through. And not technically wrong, all things considered. But most people didn't usually share the webhead's whimsical worldview.]

[Sorry if she doesn't really laugh along, Spidey, the yoyo effect hasn't exactly been good to Ochako, and she's had one hell of a headache after coming here for the (hopefully) last time. The nap helped, definitely, but she's still not exactly at 100% Uraraka Pep just yet. It'll take a few days more to get there, just to really settle in.]

I think I'll be alright, but thank you... I just need time to really make my mark here and feel more at home, I suppose.

[Getting her wardrobe and clothing situation sorted, food and groceries, and just decorating her room with comforting things is probably going to be a big deal. Oh, and a picture frame to put a photo of her parents into, at some point. That's...also going to be huge.]

from what i know, it's a play on words in japanese. the kanji for HERO makes a sound like EI-YUU, but those same 2 kanji are reversed for our school name when written so it becomes YUU-EI.

[She's lost most of her anxiety, considering most of the people she's talked to have been nothing but kind, and pleasant. Plus, no one really seems to lend themselves to the idea that they could be villains, or in leagues with, well...the League itself.]
