Since I suppose it's socially acceptable to talk about this now that one American autumn holiday has passed: I'm now accepting suggestions for New Year's Resolutions. I'm not picky on if they're serious, silly, or just really dumbass-y. Or just tell me what yours are.

And yes, I am:
a) bored
b) looking for inspiration
c) all of the above

My friends and I had a contest once to see who could keep their resolutions the longest. I won. My resolution was to stop chewing gum. My friends' resolutions were to run every day, to stop reading comic books, giving up licorice, and to stop eating chili cheese dogs.

Is there anything you want to stop doing? Or start doing?

That's actually a fun way to make it new, have it be a contest with people. Mine usually last a week. But I think as far as things I want to start/stop doing, I don't know if I have much of an idea yet for things that *are* within my control, hence part of my problem here, ha.

It's a good way to stay motivated too, especially if you really like to win.  It is hard to feel like we have control when we're brought here so randomly and given all kinds of powers.  Maybe a good resolution would be to learn what you can control.
