[ Anakin is sitting on a barrel, it looks like it's painted entirely blue. He's in a course coverall, and there's many different dripples and dabs of paint in various colors. White and blue are the most featured, then black and grey. But there is some yellow and red sneaking in there. There's a fleck of the same blue on Anakin's jaw, and he looks a bit sweaty. ]

When we arrive here, we are assigned a city, an apartment, a job. How many of you have kept those arrangements? What made you change them? If you didn't change them, why not?

[ He rolled his shoulders back, and twisted a little, stretching his back out. ]

I know there's a fair few of us with lightsabers. I'd like to get a bit of a dueling club together, but first we need to hold some classes. So anyone who is Force Sensative and wants to join in, let me know. It can be privately. But I will be holding some basic safety classes first to make sure everyone leaves with everything they brought with them still attached.

Designing is one of those things they require degrees for, and they have a fully staffed construction team. Plus, not that I mind it, it's traveling between Norah and Heropa for work. A small commute by Coruscant standards but I think I'd like to see how I like working close to home.

Ah, i understand. Well, you can always try to work with engines, even as a part-time. Like at a car's shop.

... I don't know what Coruscant is, though.

Yeah, that's a place to start anyway.

Coruscant is the planet I'm from.

Oh, I see. Is it very different from Earth?

[kraythero]

Oh yes. For one, it's one entire city on the entire planet. It's not like this place, anything, not durasteel is an enclosed garden. Everything are towers, super skyscrapers as they are called here.

O-oh. That sounds overwhelming. I thought Tokyo was big, but that's something else.

[kraythero]

It's the center of the Galatic Republic, so yeah it's. A lot. I like this place, with woods and parks. It's nice. There's most of Coruscant that never sees sunlight, ever.

Yeah. And yeah I've kicked off a few. Mostly on the Outer Rim and not generally under pleasant circumstances.

Er- what sort of circumstances, if I may ask?

There's a civil war right now. The Jedi have been tasked with leading the Grand Army of the Republic during the War.

[anthropophagite]

[ Civil War within a whole galaxy sounds like a huuuuuuge nightmare]

I'm sorry. I can't imagine how a war on that scale would be, but sounds awful.

Who are the Jedi?

[kraythero]

Jedi are supposed to be peacekeepers and scholars of The Force. It's a type of energy all living beings are connected to. From the most advanced sentient species to single celled plants and microbes. We study and use it and often act as negotiators in large scale conflict, peacekeepers in times of conflict, and escorts/bodyguards to government officials in times crisis.

And yeah it's pretty damn awful.

[ oh. Maybe something like qi. Not that... Kaneki is the type of person to believe in vital force like that, but he is talking to someone who travels across their galaxy so he is going to accept it's a thing.

The Force, hm.]

I see... You are a Jedi too, then? How do you use it?

[kraythero]

I am a Jedi, a Jedi Knight which means I've completed my apprenticeship and am on my own.

I sense thinks around me, generally before they happen which makes me an excellent pilot - it was the first manifestation of the Force in my case. Also since it's been a lot of combat, to make me faster, stronger, leap and jump further and higher. To slow down and cushion fails, or as a shield. Generally as telekinesis to give me a third and forth hand while working on something.

[ oh it's like...] Rey-San was the same... [ back in that world. She had sort of telepathy too, if he remembers correctly.

But Kaneki snaps out of his thoughts shaking his head] Ah, I'm sorry for all these questions - I didn't mean to pry!

It's ok. When I was young, I used to think Jedi were wizards.

[anthropophagite]

I can understand why, it sounds more like it came out of stories than real.

[kraythero]

Jedi used to be extremely rare in the Outer Rim too so not like any of us had seen any in a few lifetimes. And some of those are at least several centuries.

[anthropophagite]

Can't more people become Jedi? or is it very difficult?

[kraythero]

It's very difficult. With...extremely few exceptions in the last few thousand years, you must be chosen to be trained while or before you are a toddler, delivered to the Temple to train until early adolescence, pass trials, apprentice, and pass more trials. There are not many of us and over two-hundred were killed at the beginning of the war, so we are even fewer.

I'm sorry. I can't imagine what's it like. I hope the war in your galaxy ends soon. [ wow he did say that. Galaxy. A world-war is bad, but a war involving a lot of the galaxy is... pretty insane ]

[ Wasn't the worst part of this life even! ]

Thanks. We're hopeful too. My men don't say it, but they are tired.

I'm certain. You probably are as well.

Me? I'm fine. I'm here. I'm getting a break, and to live my life. Only one of my men are also getting that.
