[ Laurie's always hated public speaking, but she's gotten loads better at it. The Network's made addressing a wide group of people much easier, but official addresses…? Things that have weight still feel… Well. Weighty.
Plus, the reason for this address is a dwindling personal circle, more people vanishing. Inevitable but always painful.
So here sits Laurie, costumed in her yellow-and-white superhero getup, looking subdued but friendly. (That's what she's going for, at least.) She's accompanied by Josh Foley. Josh is looking tired and stressed, but relatively resolute, also dressed in shades of gold and white. ]
Hello, everyone. I'm Laurie Collins, also known as Wallflower, and I'm here with a word about the Justice League, one of the superhero organizations set up in this world by imPorts.
We've recently had several prominent members exPort, leaving Josh and I as senior staff and leaving a considerable gap in our lineup. As such, we're seeking new members. If you'd like to be a hero, understanding the risks and all that may be involved… We'd like to work with you.
[ Josh clears his throat, casting a quick glance to Laurie. He wasn’t a full member to begin with and this promotion has him both heartbroken and uneasy. ]
Jaime was one of the first people here who really made me feel like this place could be a home. There’s a chance that all of this means something worse is coming. If my experience has taught me anything it’s that we need to band together to protect ourselves and the world and people we love. [ there is - maybe too telling a look to Laurie before he looks back at the camera. ] Uh… So, we’ll probably start doing interviews and tryouts in a few weeks.
[ Laurie nods, resuming the light smile that had slipped at mention of a vanished friend, one of the best. Bring it to a close. ]
In the meantime, please feel free to ask us any questions here or to let us know you’re interested. It never hurts to have a count before we get things rolling.
We’ll be looking to welcome all levels of experience, whether you come from a world with similar hero groups or whether this is a brand-new reality for you. We’ve got training facilities on-hand and a desire to not only protect the worlds we touch, but to foster the growth of super-powered individuals in as safe and experienced an environment as possible.
Thank you.

Yeah. I'm fine. That was fine, just... It's another note of finality, you know?
Jaime was my best friend, for longer than I ever got to have a friend before.

[ He rubs her shoulder, wraps his other arm around her and holds her close. ]
I'm glad you had him. [ sorry he's gone. sorrier still that even if they figured out how to hop between dimensions, jaime probably wouldn't know her. ] He was a really good dude.

Sounds like I'm going to have a talk with my agent and the producer on the show. Good news is that I'm good at administrative functions. And the newer active power could help too.
But I'm designing my own outfit. I'm not doing high school all over again.
[Yep, back home for ten minutes, hasn't even told Laurie and Josh he's back yet, and he's already swearing off of bad uniforms of the past.]

[ he's trying for a joke here. his voice is light but his mood isn't great. all of this has been veering closer and closer to everything that broke him all those years ago.
not good. ]

Nah, I know what you'd wear, it's horrible. But I'm a lot better now.

Anyway... Glad you're back. I'll forward you the requested information in summary form. If you'd like a more in-depth look via the Hall of Justice, let me know and we'll pick a day.

Simplicity is what I would want to go for too. No Shaft coat, I promise.

School comes first. [ he says in - the most authoritative voice he can muster, which isn't that great. ] But - yeah, we'll probably need to call on everyone if something comes up that needs us.

We have some experience with the concept, but our world and your world are very different. If you've got the time, I'd love to work with you to develop our mission goals and programming on that front.

What are your organization's goals and methods? If I were to apply, what would be my responsibilities?

And we wanna put people where their powers and skills are gonna be the most use, so long as they're comfortable with it.

The main goal is to arrive where we're needed with what is needed. It's a lot of ground to cover.

I could help with the logistics of the organization, though I am not adverse to taking the role as a footsoldier when needed.
...I hope there is a better term for that.

I'm sure someone who's got the hang of legal ins-and-outs will be a valuable asset. Not to mention a personal tie to a local administration.

The usual for super-organizations with equipment and headquarters to maintain. Tech support, financial support, networking charisma... That sort of thing.

Hello! I am interested in protecting the worlds, without question. But I've a number of questions.
To begin, would I have to wear a bodysuit?
voice;
You don't, no. As long as you can function safely in what you prefer to wear while on the job, you can wear whatever you'd like.
Bodysuits of certain materials tend to be the preference due to being light and easy to move in with a lower chance of getting snagged. Never mind the popularity of capes in some circles.
