I always liked the fall. Nice scenery, good food, cool nights and mild days. Holidays right around the corner. Things always feel a little cozy in the fall. I died in the fall, too, so I guess I've got a special attachment to it.

I think people are getting a little out of control with the pumpkin spice thing, though. Was it really that good?

I was a big fan of Halloween too. Nothing more fun than dressing up in costume and eating candy until you puke. Of course, that was a long time before I knew that ghosts were real.

By the way, you should probably keep that in mind before you cut holes in sheets and start running around making oooooo-noises, jerks.

In any case, I had a conversation the other day that got me thinking. Do ghosts exist where you come from? And if they do, what are they like?

If there's not ghosts, maybe there are monsters or something kind of like that. Whatever kind of spooky-type creatures you might have in your own dimensions. I'd kind of like to hear about what they're like in other places.

[You know, just in case someone has an idea he hasn't thought of yet.]

In before "ghosts don't exist anywhere." You're going to have a hard time convincing me of that.

So the things people call "monsters" are basically just commonplace where you come from?

People wouldn't even look twice at a "monstrous" person?

People call here. In my world we were a lot more respectful; they are pretty powerful beings, you know?

But yeah, they are also really common. Devils like to hang around, usually to mess with us! [ noi laughs ]

Well, obviously the term is different when the people you're talking about are common.

What kind of Devils? Like demons, or...?

Devils. Like... from hell?

I thought everyone knew what a devil is.

This is a weird alternate dimension where there's superheroes and aliens and stuff. Maybe a devil is something different here than what I know it as.

Aha. Well, our Devils come from Hell. They live pretty good lives there, they torture souls, have fun, eat the blasphemous, things like that. But they also enjoy coming up to Magic Land and just mess with us. Since they are our Gods, they can prety much do anything, but there are some really nice, like Haru-chan!

[ as for how they look like ]

A devil can look like a lot of things, though. They have horns, skulls,... Haru-chan has a skull-face and a large furry body, with hooves for her feet, and claws on her hands. She also has antlers. She is very cute! [ no. she isn't. She is fucking scary ]

I imagine hell isn't nearly as nice for the souls who go there.

[A devil named Haru-chan... huh.]

Uhh... sounds... cute, I guess.

Unless you are a Devil, Hell is supposed to be a hellish place, of course. Souls are tortured, killed, things like that.

She is! And she can kill someone with her singing, too!

How do you kill a soul?

You will have to ask a Devil, because I don't know.

They usually keep the souls in Hell, but sometimes Devils get really bored and get rid of them.
