What's going on?! I can't use my powers the way I used to! I just...use them without saying anything or whatever, but now...

[Anita ends that sentence with an angry and pained growl.]

I have to say stupid things if I want to make paper blades, and my clothes change! [Her voice has been climbing steadily, increasing in fury, but now, while she's back to using indoor voice, it sounds more dangerous than her screaming.] Fix it! [BACK TO SCREAMING.] Now!

[Muttering to herself:] Geez, I look so stupid...

[Housemates, that racket is coming from Anita's bedroom. And the door is locked because she doesn't want anyone to see her in a frilly, delicate white dress, whose skirt is made of layers of ruffles. There is a large white ribbon in her hair, and both the ribbon and her dress seem to be made of paper.

Good luck getting her to demonstrate what happened to her.]

[No way is she giving Dorian the opportunity to laugh at how super girly she was in her "costume". Anita wants to change back to her usual clothes, but to do that, she has to say more stupid things...and he'll hear her. But if she opens the door for him now, she'll never hear the end of it. All she wants to be is Anita, not her silly alter-ego "Papercut"!]

Hey, are your powers okay, Dorian? Did they change or something?

[brushoff]

No, not at all, [ he said, through the door, obviously a bit confused. After all, considering that he's dependent on his powers to stay alive, he'd be the first to notice if they changed. But the fact that Anita asked that is a bit...worrying. ]

Is something wrong with yours? [ if he sounds concerned, that's cause he is. Anita's the soft spot in Dorian's list of people he knows and likes. ]

Really wrong! [She says this a bit more loudly as if to emphasize it and HOW IRKED SHE IS ABOUT IT.] I have...I have to say stuff if I want to use my powers! It's like having dumb superhero catchphrases!

[In retrospect, it was mostly harmless. Just absolutely annoying. Especially the dress.]
