Hey, everyone. Just got some intel back from the last mission that needs to be shared.
For those who didn't hear, some of us got flown into space last month to take out a network of hostile orbital weapons platforms. One of them attacked an imPort spaceship earlier, and the government found dozens more of those things up there, just hanging over Earth. They had missiles pointed at the planet, and more ordnance to use against us and civilian satellites when we engaged.
I know a lot of people here don't trust the government, but I want to say that the whole mission would never have been possible without their backup. They provided the intel, transport, and equipment we needed to go into orbit and attack our targets. Working with them is the only way to beat things like this, unless someone has a private space shuttle I don't know about.
Funny to think about. If it wasn't for that dumb reality show, we might never have known about those things until they started hitting the planet. Their missiles had the payload to take out a city block. I'd say we got really lucky.
Anyway, we got the job done. Salvage records indicate the targets were launched from sites in Eastern Europe in early 2017, by companies tied to the Otherworld Technologies Organization. For some reason, the satellites were clustering over certain spots every few weeks, in groups of four or five. Always over land. Those spots are probably important somehow.
The OTO is a name we've heard before. They're serious business. We need to keep our eyes out for them, keep following up leads. And we need to get more organized, so we can tackle threats like this even when we don't get lucky.
Speaking of organization. I'd like to know what kinds of experiences people have had with "super-teams" in their time. What worked? What didn't? What would you want to see on a team you're part of?
That's all for now. Stay safe, everyone.
P.S. Anyone else going to check out the meteor shower they're forecasting? It's supposed to be a hell of the show. I'm going to see it from Heropa. Get a nice view from the beach.
