Ooookay, everybody's kind of antsy right now, but I've got good news! Gather round, stop complaining — this is important.

[ If you've ever been to the park in Heropa, you may recognize a small section of it near a pond. Said pond is now glowing with legit ice-magic, frozen solid, and all around is perpetual wintertide. Jack pans around and it ought to be obvious he's skating. Click the pic! ]


Since I can't take winter to where I'm supposed to be right now, you all get your very own slice of it right here; not on the roads or your houses — [ people have whined so much about that, jeez ] — but in the Heropa park.

Oh! I almost forgot the best part, watch this — when you skate on it ...

[ Jack shows what happens. Skating backwards (barefoot because #winterspirityolo) snowflakes start to rise up from the entire pond in slow, shimmery quantities. FAIRYTALE POND, GET. ]

It's always going to be cold here, the pond's now made of a special kind of ice you usually only get in the Arctic, it doesn't melt but it also isn't dry ice, so all you science buffs out there can relax — and don't worry about the goldfish and frogs, I already moved them. I'll check on it every week to make sure it's all nice and fluffy.

So bring your friends over! Have some fun.

i'm actually concentrating on not burying America as a /whole/ in snow since i can't leave and winter ... follows me, so this is a nice outlet :)

You--froze a pond? I guess at least if it's just the pond that's not so bad. Is it just ice or is there actually snow?

[Someone's still kind of a big kid around snow. Even if he still now has to worry about his auto-mail and frostbite with that equipped.]

I didn't just freeze a pond, grant me a little finesse. It's frozen solid and enchanted to send up snowflakes when people skate on it. See the blue glow? That's so kids can see it in the dark. The snow around it shouldn't melt either, but I'll come and fluff up its layers every week or so.

It's a snippet of perpetual winter for you, man!

[ SHE IS IN A STATE OF CHINHANDS because she is constantly complaining about florida's weather because she misses the snow and now there is an ice rink in the middle of the park and today is the best day, this man deserves a medal.
