[After the you-know-what happens, a newly 16ish Caitlin Snow made her way to StarkTech for some testing. She starts recording while she's trying to arrange the lab into something more presentable.] After the... events of today, I'm going to be at StarkTech for the rest of the day. If anyone wants to drop by, I will be performing basic physicals to ascertain whether there any secondary effects of the changes several imPorts have experienced. [She huffs out an annoyed breath when she tries to put her labcoat on and finds that it's too big for her. Luckily, there's a lab assistant who is quite petite and who doesn't mind Caitlin borrowing hers for the moment.]

I will be collecting data on how the nanites are responding to the changes, but it's strictly opt-in. If you have any privacy concerns, I can strip your data of any identifying information. But my primary concern is to ensure the health of those affected. I can also assist in medically determining physical ages, if that's something anyone would - [Her voice abruptly stops when she notices that, while she was rushing around getting equipment together, her engagement ring slid off her finger. It's easy to spot, so it's not like it's lost or anything, but she still covers her mouth to cover up the small, hurt noise she makes when she realizes it doesn't fit. Ronnie's ring. It was an accident. Something we were working on backfired a lot worse than we thought it would.

Do you have any ideas yet on how to reverse it?

Still working on it. Our equipment blew in the process, so we're trying to find a backup to use.

[He just can't ignore that reaction she had at the end of her video though.]

[It takes her a little while to answer because she grabs her ring first and lets herself have a few minutes to just look at it quietly. Thankfully, she was wearing a necklace anyway, so she slides the pendant off that and pockets it before putting the chain back on with the ring attached.

Whens he answers, she switches to voice because she's not sure she can do visual again right now. When she starts talking, her voice is subdued but mostly calm again.]

I'm fine, thank you. I was just... surprised by something.

This has happened to you before?

Twice. The second time was pretty much just like this, except I got my old clothes back along with the body.

The first time I was physically a little kid, and only remembered ever being one. Pretty freaky in retrospect -- and while it was happening, too. I thought I was lost in the big city without my parents.

experimental generator. we were trying to code it to age me up. just me. buuuut i kind of overdid it.

Did you have a plan in mind for reversing the effects?

uh - well there's a couple options. we could repair the thing that made this in the first place and try this again and hope it works. but that's gonna take weeks.

i think though ... like, originally i meant for it to wear off. the nanites are actually resistant to this kind of thing? it takes a lot of power to trigger an effect, and then i think they learn eventually. like the immune system. i worked with the same kind of thing back when we made that vaccine. so.

It would probably be a good idea to repair it in case, but thinking it will return everyone to their correct ages is probably too much to hope for.

[She sighs.] All right, hopefully tests will show signs of the nanites responding like that.

Backtracking. Literally just walking backwards and leaning to get a glimpse of the girl that he's pretty sure is new because he memorizes girl faces. Like he could never memorize anything actually useful. [Things that Caitlin was expecting: not this. She startles just enough that the drop of blood she was putting on a slide to examine does not quite make it where it's supposed to go, and she lets out an annoyed sound before looking up.] What? No.

[It doesn't really occur to her that he might be trying to hit on her. Why should it? She's an adult. She just... doesn't look like one right now.]

This would be so much easier if she was just an adult again. Of course, this wouldn't happen at all if she was an adult, but teenage Caitlin didn't always do such a great job of handling teenage guys. About half of them called her an Ice Queen for reasons that were not solely a pun on her name, and the other half weren't sure whether to treat her as a viable flirting candidate or a weird nerdy freak.

She's kind of getting flashbacks right now.] I wouldn't know. I live alone.
