so i just got here

and yeah i got the whole welcoming spiel so can it

i got separated from my friend somehow but hes gotta be here somewhere. if u see a kid named gon that wears all green and is way to cheerful lemme know.

oh and what happens if u just skip school? theyre telling me i have to go to school when the new semester starts. ive never went to school before though and it sounds like a waste of time.

[Something about the tight-knit government around here, how he arrived, and everything they knew about him just rubbed Killua the wrong way. Normally he wouldn't even care to ask, but he has to wonder if there's some ridiculously disproportionate punishment for playing hooky. He's been here all of a day and he already doesn't trust the place.

The last thing he remembers from home was using Accompany On with Gon. By all means they shouldn't have been separated, and yet they were, which is why he's convinced his friend has to be here somewhere. Not that anyone at the base would tell him.]

[Killua glances back at Hisoka at that, but he doesn't answer. He still wouldn't say he could trust him, even if sometimes they're on the same side.]

It's not like I have anywhere to be. [He folds his arms behind his head, relaxing a little. This was only his first day here, he had time to figure this out.] School's over in a few days anyway. Then I have this whole boring summer to look forward to.

And all the places to visit. I suppose you won't be doing anything productive?

[It doesn't really seem like it'll be any fun without Gon around...even if it was plenty of fun before he met him.]

If you mean fighting for justice or whatever it is they want us to do--not really.

Not exactly.

[He smiles, looking down off the building.]

So was that all then? [Or was there more he'd like to talk about?]

[Killua drops his arms, letting them swing at his sides a moment before slipping his hands into his pockets.

He shrugs.] I guess I could ask if there was anything else I told you last time I was here.

[Well, technically he didn't tell him about Alluka... But was there anything? Hm.]

[He glances back, staring him down for a while before turning away. There's a lot of things he could say, say about Killua's future, what he knows of it now, what happens to Gon. Between he, Illumi and Alluka. But. None of that Killua told him, right? And besides, what point would there be to waste time telling him? He'll know soon enough.]

[Though maybe it'd be fun to mess with him later and hint to some things.]

[Hands up.]

No.

[It's hard to believe Hisoka's telling the truth when his answer comes so curtly, but it's also hard to believe he'd tell Hisoka any more than he apparently already did.

In the end, Killua's left thinking in circles and decides that he'll trust his gut: Hisoka's not telling him something.

He closes his eyes with a sigh and starts to walk towards the edge.] Ah well. Just don't go blabbing anything I did say to anybody.

[Well, it's hard to believe he's telling the truth ever. After all, he and Killua are rather like minded. And Bisky said herself that sometimes people, people like him, just lie. Lie for no reason. Though for now he's not really lying, Killua hasn't really told him much, he just knows from other means.]

Hm.

[A smile, nodding as he puts his hands on his hips.]

Sure.

[A pause, glancing up- then down. It's a disappointment. That Killua is weaker this time around. And a disappointment that he may not focus on his Nen and training as much here. But perhaps that will change. Still.]

[He did miss him, in his own way. And he wants to keep watch.]

[His eyes slide over, glancing at him from the corner.]

One- two- three, jump?

[He doubts that Hisoka will keep that word for long if he really had a reason to tell someone, but there's not much else he can do here. Not right now, anyway.

Glancing over, Killua doesn't even think on it before he answers.] Okay. Let's play chicken with the ground. Whoever comes closest before stopping wins.

Hm~? Stopping how?

With Nen, duh.

[He could use Nen to push himself into the air on Greed Island, so he can probably do that to cushion his landing.

Only one way to find out.]

Just checking! [A smile and he nods, cementing his feet for a moment, looking down.]

Okay.

One-

[Killua steps closer, toes hanging off the edge. He's grinning a little, despite himself.]

Two-

[Nothing wrong with having some fun, right?]

Three!

[And he'll step off, immediately opting to go head first, practically diving at the pavement.]

[Killua follows right after, his hands in his pockets and completely upright. His legs splay a bit on the way down and his shirt and shorts whips around him, but other than that he might as well be standing around for how unphased he looks.

Besides the big toothy grin, anyway.

It's a pretty long fall! So he watches Hisoka carefully for signs of slowing, or hesitation.]

[Pretty long, and Hisoka's rather

casually just

staring down at the ground.]

[He doesn't seem to be slowing down or growing at all hesitant. He's already prepared his way to brace his fall, now it's just about activating the strand of Bungee Gum at the right time.]

Try not to break your neck, huh! [He teases, still casually freefalling. Killua even does a lazy backflip, because he's a total show-off.

From now, he estimates he has a few seconds left before he needs to start slowing down. Because if his idea doesn't work, he doesn't want to break his legs.]

But you'd just like that, wouldn't you? [A smile, glancing to him, and then looking to the ground again.] Bad boy, I'm so scared~

[A few seconds and Killua will start to slow down but Hisoka will still be going full speed.]

[Why does Hisoka have to make everything weird.

Killua doesn't dignify that with an answer, instead concentrating his aura gradually at his feet so he starts to slow. He can't help a glance at Hisoka though, who's already quickly inching ahead of him towards the pavement.]

[Habit.]

[Hobby.]

[A base, general need.]

[Who knows.]

[Very quickly. He barely starts to slow down and much after Killua starts to. This is a game of both guts and skill after all. And Hisoka has a lot of both, having a sufficient amount of confidence ontop of that as well. So when he gets close?

It's close.

It's a breath away, his nose nearly touching and his heart beating fast and he feels his Bungee Gum pull and his feet and ankles before he suddenly SHOOTS back up and past Killua in a blink of an eye. Rocketing back up to the sky like a bullet.]

[Blasting off agaaaiin.]

[Killua comes to land just a few inches away when he finally does, but at that point Hisoka's already flung off like a rubberband--nearly having Killua forget to stick his landing in the process. Hovering there, he blinks a few times in disbelief, jaw hanging open.

Then, after a beat and feeling very robbed:] Wait, who won?!
