[ Nakamori Aoko is feeling a very complex mix of emotions. She’s just been told about her powers and that she has to live here now. She hadn’t really been able to get in a word edgewise as she ushered here and there in that weird building and then just dropped her off at this weird house. It’s left her one part scared, one part confused, one part excited (because superpowers!), but mostly it just left her angry. And now she has words. ]

Aoko doesn’t care if you did give her superpowers to make up for it, Stealing is stealing and kidnapping is kidnapping. It doesn’t matter if you’re government or not because it’s still illegal to take people from their homes. [ She’s pretty sure she was at home, she’s not really sure but that doesn’t make her any less angry. ]

The law is there for everyone to follow and no one is above it, it’s disgraceful your government thinks it can just pick and choose which ones it wants to follow. Aoko has family where you took her from! They’re going to be very upset and you’ll be very sorry.

[ She glares darkly at the device before continuing on, she’s not lecturing the people that brought her here yet. ]

And you can’t just drop people off at weird buildings with strangers and expect everything to be okay! They seem nice-and Aoko doesn’t have anything against them but you probably didn’t warn them either and that’s just rude.

If you brought Aoko here to help you should have just asked! Jeez! She Probably would have said yes. But you’ll never know, because you didn’t! [ And with an irritated huff, she cuts the feed ]

[And he's already gotten you into trouble once due to KID, he wasn't about to risk you getting into trouble again.]

And what sort of best friend would I be if I let that happen? Besides, your dad would probably hurt me if something happened.

Aoko will be fine. It's Bakaito she has to worry about. [ Actually, come to think of it, between the two of them they do get into an awful lot of shenanigans. But that's fine because she likes adventure so long as no one's getting hurt. ]

Oi, what's that supposed to mean? I haven't caused any trouble since I got here!

[Truth. HE hadn't, KID on the other hand... well, he wouldn't be surprised if Tantei-kun was hoarding soccer balls to kick at him the next time they ran into each other.]

Aoko finds that hard to believe.

[A pause as he stops, glancing around before walking again.]

All right, I'm almost there. You don't have any roommates or strange people staying there who are going to jump me or anything, do you?

I don't think they'd jump you... But I can wait outside if that will help?

Hey, you never know. Some people are crazy around here. And then they get superpowers.

[Better to be prepared, after all.]

Aoko can tell when people are lying now. It'll come in handy if she does decide to join the force.

Seriously?! I can poof roses into existence. Which is kind of funny, considering that I was doing that already.

[And here he goes, knockin' knockin' on Aoko's door.]

Heehee~ That's so fitting for Kaito.

[ She doesn't waste anytime at all, moving over to her front door and pulling the door open. He won't have too much time to react because this is one of those rare moments she's just going to hug him. ]

[Whatever he was going to say was cut off as Aoko opened the door. Next thing he knew he was wrapped in her arms as she was hugging him.]

A-Aoko?

[ Shut up Kaito, she's in an unfamiliar place filled with unfamiliar people and she just needs to hold onto him for a moment as he's the only familiar thing to her in this place. She can feel his familiar warmth make out the familiar vague fire crackery scent. ]

[It won't last long though and she'll pull away and try and act like that didn't happen. ]

Kaito got here really fast.

I ported. One of the benefits if you register. I thought it was gonna take longer then it did.

[It's said with a casual shrug, a part of him already missing Aoko's warmth even though he would never admit that, wtf was wrong with him. Just because she was the first familiar 'I'm not going to suspect you of being KID' face he'd seen here, didn't mean he should have reacted like that.]

Besides, who knows what sort of trouble could have found you if I'd waited.

[Because he is a dumb boy who can't just say 'I missed my best friend.']
