Hey. is this thing- oh. Hey!

[The kid on screen gives a gap-toothed grin at the camera.]

Oh man. Okay, this is gonna sound pretty whack to just say out of nowhere, but... is everyone here actually human? Or, well, most of ya, I guess. [He pauses, takes a breath - gotta keep himself calm, make a good impression - and gives a quick wave.] But hey, I'm Finn! Finn the Huma- huh, that's totally tables now, isn't it?

I was gonna ask if you guys had seen a few people, since I guess this place pulls people here randomly? But it looks like things've been pretty bananas around here. Anyone need a hand?

[She giggles a little. Aw! There there, Finn, she's heard worse voice cracking out of her own brother.]

Math? But, yeah, no, not a mermaid or anything! Regular human. Though my hair's great enough that I could totally be mistaken for a mermaid if you didn't know any better.

[laaazy wave to the camera.]

[He makes a face] It's such weird biz. I mean, I apparently have some weird magic powers too or-- oh gob I'm not gonna go wiz cuckoo am I?!

[She hrrrms a little at how casually he threw that out, but whatever.]

It doesn't? [BREATH OF RELIEF] Oh, man- yeah, I just got here a few hours ago. They wanted to take me to my new digs, but... [But his new digs are distinctly Jake-less, and after what star!Billy told him and the whole universe switch? He needed to just wander around and freak out about everything for a while.] I dunno how anything can beat a super tricked out treehouse, so I'm investigating!

[No, Finn, you're like hyperventilating over everything ever.]

[Man, she doesn't even know Finn knows about Simon's whole deal and there's no flippin way she's gonna bring it up.]

The treehouse is pretty rad... [it's technically hers, after all. she knows how deeply radical it is.]

Wait. What's the last thing you remember? [you look older. and your voice finally finished cracking. what the heck, man.] This place has some freaky time-warp stuff going on.

[Well, there's someone she hasn't seen in a while. She's happy to see him, but also. Well, feeling a bit odd. It doesn't seem like he remembers his last time here... and she's hoping that he's from a point after they broke up so she won't have to do any explaining about that.]

Hey, Finn! [Uh.] Yeah, it's pretty strange being in a place where most people are human. It's mad different from how things are in Ooo, but I guess this is super math for you, huh?

F-Flame Princess?? [As per usual, Finn feels that mix of the bottom of his stomach dropping out as well as some sort of cosmic butterfly fluttering a little further up in his chest.] Hey! [Oh man did his voice just crack? It totally just cracked. Let him just clear his throat for a mo.] Uh, hey.

It's way math! I mean, I- this is nothing like with the Hyoomans everyone's way obvs human here. [Oh, but that means-] Wait, are... are you okay here? Is there a Flame Kingdom? Or something pretty sims?

Oh, yeah! I'm... pretty good here, actually. There's no Flame Kingdom, but I don't really mind. It's like being here is some kind of big weird vacation in some other world or something. But it's nice. Most of the people here are good, and making friends isn't so hard. [She has a boyfriend, too, but... bringing that up right now would be super awkward.]

[Super awkward, but man. Considering the last time Finn saw FP was when Cinnamon Bun totally showed him up? It... won't be that surprising. He'll just mope about it for a week or two. Or three.

Oh yeah? That's... that's good. [Oh maaaaaan he can just feel that awkwardness descending over him.] And I guess it'll be kinda nice to go on vacation for a while. [Which is, for once, actually the truth. After all, Finn's still sort of reeling from the fact that Dad the Human is apparently still alive. And getting away from having to deal with that for a while sounds... pretty nice.]

Oh. [Speaking of friends] Hey, FP. Is anyone else from Ooo here? Like... Jake, Princess Bubblegum, Ice King, LSP, or - [UGH] - Cinnamon Bun? Or is it just you, me, and Marceline?

It's just the three of us right now. Haven't really seen anybody else from Ooo since I've been here except... well, you. But that was a while ago. [... Oh, yeah.]

What happened before you came here, anyway? This place can be really messed up with time junk and bringing people in and taking them back out and sometimes it makes people forget they were here when they showed up before and... [Uh.] Yeah. Like I said, messed up.

Wait- I've been here before? What the butt- I don't remember that.

[His tentatively cheerful expression falters a bit into actual confusion at what Flame Princess is telling him. That's... weird. Like, full-on Prismo style weird.]

Wait, how long have you been here? If I've shown up and left and you've- but you're not- and I don't-

[............. caution, brain processes reaching critical mass. meltdown imminent.

You can almost see the smoke starting to come out of his ears.]

I know, it's confusing. [Seriously, man, she's got you.] After a while you learn to sort of just go with it.

Anyway, I've been here for... I guess about nine months altogether? But it's been kind of fragmented. There was a period where I was gone for a few months but didn't remember going home after I came back, and then I went home for a year but when I came back here only a couple of weeks had passed.

Like I said, it's really confusing.

Hi Fin! I'm Ripley, I'm super human too!

--Wait, no. Not like, super-human but SUPER human.

[He grins at Ripley's response]

Hey, who knows, maybe you are super-human! We all have these cool powers right? It could be like- ba-BLAM! [He steps back from the camera, miming out an explosion with his hands and then punching the air for effect] And there you go- way supes human.

Oh man, you're right! I am totally super-human! But that means you are too, right? We all are!

Maybe we could start a new race! Like... Humans on one level, then there's the super-humans, and then there's the jam diggity humans, way up top!

[Look at him, waving his arms around excitedly while trying to map out a stair step effect.]

We could even quest to level up to each level, it'd be- [He stops, opens his mouth, presses his hands to his cheeks and makes a slow, drawn out, wonderfully excited gasping noise as realization takes its hold.] It'd be just like a video game.

Woooooooow. [She mimics Finn super awed face.] That sounds awesome.

But... what are jam diggity humans? And how can I be one?

[And Kay grins back.]

Yeah, it's pretty random. And yup, there are more humans around here than not-really-humans and not-humans-at-all. I think.

Really? Oh man, that's actually pretty amazing. [Some day, Finn might feel less dizzy excited about being confronted with so many other humans, but for now? He just looks like he's two seconds away from fangirling.] So it's like, totes common here?

Totes common. [She nods sagely.] Why? Are humans rare where you come from? That's kinda cool, in a way...

Yeah. Jake's in-laws or whatevs [They should be Jake's in-laws, at least. But Finn never quite got a straight answer on whether or not Jake and Lady were married or dating or... man, who even knows] said they were extinct, but apparently there's at least... two of us left.

Whoa, extinct?! [HOLD EVERYTHING okay that doesn't sound cool now.] What happened to them? I mean, almost all of them?

Well, I don't know about everyone else. But I'm human! Which....is a little weird to say, but I guess I know what you mean. A lot of my friends back home weren't human either.

[Traveling with a talking dog and duck is the most normal thing what are you talking about. And then there's the chipmunks working on the Gummi too.]

I don't need a hand though, I have my friend Riku here too, so I'm okay! But I guess a lot of us might not be so lucky. Oh, right. I'm Sora by the way!

Say whaaaaaaat- you have non-human friends, too? I'm starting to think that's kinda the weird thing instead of just being normal. Which is whack.

[Some day, they really need to bond over having talking dog bffs.]

Yup! Donald and Goofy! But I guess...I did meet them after I left home. Riku and Kairi are human and all and so were the other kids I'd play with.

[Dogs are the best, okay? Even Pluto.]

It is pretty lucky! I was just looking for Riku back home too. Are any of your friends around, Finn?

[Either way, Sora will probably near instantly bff Finn anyway. Like he does. But especially if he's here alone.]

Uh. Last time I checked, I'm human. Still a weird question, but I get why it's so common.

Who're you looking for? Maybe I know someone?

You are? [Finn, literally everyone who's replied to this other than Flame Princess and Marceline have been human, stop being so amazed.] It's way uncommon back home, I've never really met anyone else who's human. [Well...] Kinda human. [Susan had let him feel that she doesn't have gills like the other Hyoomans, but he still hasn't seen her without her hat, he doesn't know for sure, but... he really hopes.]

Oh yeah! Basically anyone from Ooo other than me, Marceline, and Flame Princess. But I guess either Peebs or Jake. Jake's a dog, but you'd have probably already known my name if you'd seen him. Princess Bubblegum is the other one I'd really need to find, if she's here. [Wait, but if this place could take anyone...] Oh snaps! BMO, too, he's a little game system.

[Everyone else would be nice to find, but... well, those are the super main ones right now. After all, Lady and most of the others can take care of themselves for a few hours. Kinda.]

[ Ellie purses her lips and looks down to herself, then to the camera. Suggesting "Do... I not look like one?". But of course, with what she's seen? She supposes it can be easy to mistake someone for human here. ]

I'm positive I'm 100% human. You know, just... A human with super powers now, apparently.

[ She shrugs. ]

--Marceline? I know her! The Vampire Queen, right? I don't know any of those other guys, but I've totally met her already. She's pretty cool.

[ A pause. ]

[He just sounds really excited about it.]

Oh, yeah. I've never actually met other humans. Everyone kinda thinks we're extinct-ish back home. I don't usually think about it too much.

Well, most of us, anyway. There are lots of non-humans, too.

[He's curious about it, but he doesn't think it's polite to ask, considering the boy says he doesn't think about it.]

Are humans not common back in your world?

[ Clary isn't sure what she counts as. Usually she sees the Shadowhunters as a race and that makes her feel better about herself. But for now she doesn't offer anything up. She looks pretty human anyway --. ]

You know what, I didn't even think about that. The only people I've been running into are seriously people-shaped. I wonder if there's like a city wide census or something. That would be neat.

[Looking human don't mean squat about being human, in Finn's experience. Though the lack of hat and fins is definitely leaning in the favor of seeing Clary as human.]

Oh yeah, people shaped is pretty good. And you are the right color, kinda. Most people shaped peeps I know are pink. Or made of fire. Or undead.
