[Josuke's first strictly text broadcast to the network. The occasion? Well, if he's honest, human hearts weren't meant for tug-of-wars and Josuke's is exhausted from the seemingly endless pull on his at the moment. Things are much simpler if people can't see or hear his distress.

Never mind that it might be identifiable to those who know already his texting patterns, which are markedly...different from what follows on screen a moment later. For one, he rarely uses caps, and for another, the number of abbreviations that would appear if he were feeling better would be too numerous to count.]

For those who're interested, PAINTBALL is still on for tomorrow. So pay attention if you wanna play! This is what you need to know.

1. You need to be in Maurtia Falls by 7 PM at a place called All Star Parking - it's an out-of-use parking garage near the east end of town that you can't miss.


2. The game is played solo, in pairs, or in teams - it's up to you. Just remember, there'll be only one winner by the end of it.


3. Hisoka (my partner) and I got some protective gear for you, but it's first come-first serve, so you might wanna bring your own padding if you don't wanna get a little banged up.


4. Powers are allowed, but anyone caught pulling lethal stunts is gonna need a ride straight to the emergency room when I'm finished with them...I guarantee that.


5. It's 1 round played until there's only 1 person left 'standing'. You're out if you get shot 3 times - which should still be a challenge 'cause of peoples' powers.


6. Sorry, there's no prize, just the glory - but that's all a real champ needs, right?

I guess that's about it. If you're a new face around these parts and you're feeling up to playing hard with the big boys, you're more than welcome to join in. Don't expect anybody to go easy on you, though.

[In any case, that's appears to be all he has to say today about...well, anything. There's nothing to signify he's been following the network posts (even though he has been) or that he cares what's going on (he does) and that he's bothered by certain events (an understatement). In sum, his post might as well read: IT'S PLAYTIME BITCHES, GET YOUR GAME FACE ON AND PREPARE TO LOSE! ...even if he feels a lot more like calling the whole thing off and calling up his biffle for a cheesy movie night.]

Here, I mostly use it to heal, and to fight- you know, temporary blindness and immobility, things that incapacitate without actually hurting people. I use more destructive magic when it's necessary- like that dragon, or anything or anyone that's not going to be reasoned with.

I also use it to ward areas, or enchant objects- locks that can only be opened with a particular spell, or weapons that can hurt things that aren't vulnerable to ordinary weapons.

And before you ask- necromancy is separate from the Charter. Charter Magic alone can't command the Dead, or force them to truly die. At most, it can destroy their physical forms, and keep them out of particular areas.

[Whoops, was he being too obvious?

...but suddenly he doesn't care, because the idea of anyone being stuck in a state that's somewhere between existing and not sounds horrific. No wonder Hazel is terrified of Sabriel's abilities.]

What made you think I was gonna ask about that?

[Still, the other uses for her magic are as practical as any he could think up on his own and those are nothing to be frowned upon.

So why then does he still have a knot in his gut after rereading her explanation?

Is it because she almost sounds like...like what she's saying is meant to be seen as some sort of comfort? Because it's not. In fact...]

By the way, if any 'undead' wind up playing in the game with us, I'll consider anyone attempting to take away their physical form an aggressor. You know...just so we're clear. Just for the record.

Because everyone does. Not that I blame them- I've seen the damage necromancy and the Dead can do in my own world.

[It is- mostly because Sabriel assumes people will be more worried about her teaching her pupils necromancy.]

Don't worry. As long as they restrain themselves, I will too.

[Actually, he hadn't thought about Sabriel teaching anybody Necromancy. Not yet, anyway. The thought still doesn't really occur to him...there's no reason it would. Sabriel seems to be very on guard with the subject, not the sort who'd hand out that sort of power all willy-nilly. A fact he's more than a little grateful for.

On the topic of restraint, however, his feelings are much different...]

Yeah, that's kind of what I'm afraid of...

[Sighing on his end, even if she can't hear it.

This is going to be a roughly played game, after all. What if one mistakes the other's actions for being something they're not and overreacts?

...although, come to think of it, there's nothing he can do about it now. Besides tell them not to come, of course, and he's not going to do that. Shutting people out won't actually fix the problem, anyway.]

Ah...I guess if there's any big problems, maybe let me or Hisoka know about them? Since we're kind of responsible for everything anyway.
