VIDEO [ ID: thomas. he's boring. ]
Hey. It's Thomas. It's... been a while, I guess.
[ For those that had been around when Thomas was here before, they might recognize him as the scrawny teenage kid who obsessively took notes and had really weird slang. Or you may not have met him at all. Either way, here he is, looking (still) a little rough for wear, and a bit more tired that usualy, but here. ]
Last thing I remember here was The Flare. Back-- [ 'home' is what's on the tip of his tongue, but there wasn't anything about that place that really ever was home to him, not in the time he can solidly remember. Outside of the Gladers, and, well, the ones that aren't here are already safe in a place far away from what he's talking about now. ] --where I came from, we never did figure it out - the cure. Least, not that I saw. Not without doing things that... That meant maybe we didn't deserve to survive it.
[ So many dead. Even with all he and Minho and Brenda got through the Flat Trans, how many never made it? How many died in the trials before them? Thomas can still here the low, sickening moans of the Grievers, still remembers the smell of burning flesh, still feels the earth shake from the heavy concrete wall of the Maze crumbling on top of a huddled group of terrified Immune. He clears his throat, continuing. ]
Anyway, I wanted to say thanks. I was kind if a slinthead at the time and never got it out before I left, but you guys saved my best friend when-- [ When I couldn't. When I didn't. Here, Newt would have a chance. Not back home. Here, Thomas would never have to read that note from him, and never have to hear his best friend pleading for him to end his misery. This is harder than he'd thought it'd be, so he abandons that line of thought. ]
Yeah, that's it. Just wanted to tell you guys that. Anyway, looks like I'll be around for a while longer, so, Kate and the rest of you guys, lemme know if I can help. Kitty too. [ he breathes in, and lets out a slow exhale. ] Teresa... We need to talk.
And Loki, if you still got that shucky club if yours, mind if I get my job back?
Everyone else - Hi. I'm Thomas.
[ actual master of social grace. ]

Yeah?
[ and that's apparently it for now, yep. but her expression probably spells out the "YA THINK?" that goes unsaid. #smoothcriminal ]
video; oh ;; this is going to hurt, oops
for a moment, he's speechless, near breathless. ]

[ He never met Thomas before now, but he definitely remembers the Flare..... His tone is almost accusatory. He saw the guy that brought it in, he looked different than Thomas, but that doesn't do anything to stop Kangmo's tone. ]
Video
Yeah. What happened here wasn't half as bad as it could've been.

Grey has lost many people. Not many of them have ever come back. And he even seems to remember being here before, which is more than Grey could ever have hoped. ]
thomas?
Video
Hey, Grey.
[ for the first time in weeks, since being home and kicking teresa out of his head, he's trying to reach out with his telepathy, finding some kind of comfort in how it's the norm for him and grey. ]
I didn't wanna leave. I'm sorry.

Maybe we can do it together? [Setting out from the go of working with Thomas is definitely Kate Bishop's idea of a good time.
Why?
Because she really, really missed him.]

[ they've still been a decent help to some people, but he still wants to figure this thing out. even if the immune did finally get to safe haven. that, and, it's a puzzle. he has to solve it.
which is something he could probably do on his own, or with teresa, but it's the same for thomas, sort of in retrograde. he didn't know there was someone to miss when he was at home, but now that he's back, he's been thinking of how much better it all would've been with kate there, or grey there. maybe kate would've done better than he did. probably. either way, the missing he couldn't do before, he's going through now. ]
It's good to see you, Kate. [ added on with a small, earnest smile. ]
