Um, hello. [ off to a good start already. still, the picture stabilizes and his hands move out of the picture to rest on his lap. ] I'm Mutsuki. I've been reading over the compiled FAQ but I had a few questions—

Back home I was learning how to properly use daggers to fight. Is there somewhere here where I could continue this sort of training? I have my own and several months of practice but it's always nice having someone who knows what they're doing there to help. [ though it's probably for the best that suzuya isn't here anymore if everything he heard was true. ] Any help would be appreciated.

[ after all, there wasn't any point in foregoing training while he was here. there was still one more important question though: ] Ah... and what sort of book genres do you enjoy or your favorite books and authors? I brought a book by Kafka with me from home that I've been slowing reading through. Still, I'm always open to hear about more especially while I'm stuck in a new country and an alternate world at that.

Yes, of course. [ He will send a list, but it's pretty big. However, there are no books from 2015, since he stopped reading after the Aogiri episode. Right now he only reads practical books. ]

Well enough, I like to think. I've mostly been studying up on all the information that has been compiled together and trying to make sense of it all. I think my new occupation requires a bit more getting used to though.

[ and he'll do a quick glance over. okay, wow. that's definitely a lot. ] Thank you, again. I think I'll be busy for awhile with all these titles.

There's really big bookstores around you can look in.

I haven't had a chance to see the ones in the other cities but I've looked at a few around where I'm living. Looking around them has been a good way to spend my free time.

You could always try buying random books, just whatever you grab. And then see if you like them.

I might just end up doing that in the end. I'm bound to find something I like that way, huh? [ a laugh. ]

Can't go wrong with anything of Stephen King's. You can always watch whatever's been adapted into a movie, too. I'm honestly more of a movie watcher, but I don't tend to have a lot of time to sit down with a good book.

I'll definitely have to keep him in mind. I've never had a lot of time myself back home due to work but I find myself with a lot of spare time between running for coffee at my new job.

[ ah, he's so tired of taking over complicated coffee orders. ] I haven't watched movies in what feels like forever. I might need to check some of them out.

The movies here can be a little... hammy. Lot of patriotic themes. But you'll find some fun ones in between.

Sounds sort of familiar. [ you know, like to what he's seen of this world. it was all like some odd super patriotic film around here. ]

Those can be fun though, I think. Sometimes it's nice to relax and chuckle at the ridiculousness.

Daggers are useful weapons to pick up. I bet you're already really good.

Unfortunately I don't have much experience with them.

Well, I'm not accidentally cutting myself anymore so better than I was at the beginning.

Swords always seemed so cool but they're hard to use properly. Daggers are easier to handle, thankfully.

I limit my use of sharp objects to scissors and exacto knives. Not the best items for combat, unless you get particularly creative.

How many do you use at a time?

And I'm definitely not nowhere near creative enough myself.

Oh, I only use two at a time and even that can be difficult at times.

Cool! Do you have any combat experience besides the knives? I'm more of a hand-to-hand guy myself, but it's good to be well-rounded.

I had self-defense training throughout my schooling so I know hand-to-hand but I can't call it a forte. My mentor had been doing more training with us before I arrived here.

Science Fiction!!!

Isaac Asimov has a particular specialization for robots!! He invented the Three Laws of Robotics!

Clarke has a number of different short and long form stories about evolution and transhumanism, although his resume is rather diverse!!!

That's good to know then since science fiction is one of my favorites genres or... at least one I would like to read more of.

[ still, transhumanism strikes a cord if just because he wasn't exactly human himself anymore. ]
