[ Baymax has always been a very private person, even long ago in another lifetime. This is the most comfortable form of such public communication for him.

Tell me, since you've come here, have you ever encountered alternate versions of others from your world?

I've found that I am not at all what others expected of me -- and they, in turn, surprise me again and again. In very good ways, mind you.

But I've found there's a certain homesickness unique to a situation such as this. What have you done to ease this feeling?

Sort of? One of my close friends and I know the same person—however, we're from radically different worlds.

I'd assume so. In my world, the supernatural's not out of the closet yet.

I did run into something like that here - another version of my adopted brother, although he's been gone for quite some time now. It was rather strange, I must admit, but it must have been harder for him. He seemed to be the only representative of that world.

There are others from my world, but no one I've met personally back home.

Did he still feel like your brother to you?

There were just as many similarities as they were differences, although to be perfectly honest I'd tried to get to know him as his own person rather than a copy of my brother.

But I suppose that doesn't answer the question, does it? He was someone my brother could have been, I think, if he'd allowed himself.

[a person who could live in this world without destroying it...a person who could get along with Jonathan without either of them consuming each other. it was bittersweet, even now, to be reminded that his foolhardy optimism wasn't so naive after all.]

Alternates? Well. I figure some people knowing about my friends sort of counts? A lot of people here seem to know about Merlin, or Donald and Goofy. But I'm not sure otherwise that I really thought about it otherwise. Why, do you know alternates of your friends here or something? That would be kind of weird, I guess.

As it happens, I seem to be an alternate to many already here. There is a version of me in Hiro Hamada's world, and vice versa.

Oh. Yeah, I guess that would be pretty confusing. Especially if it's just you? And the rest might remember something else. It's tough enough being from different points in time, between me, Roxas and Riku. They remember more than I do on things back home. I don't think I've talked to Hiro yet though.

And here I thought my world was unique to this phenomena.

Yes, it seems as though there are at least two alternate versions of my world. Some of the events match with vague differences. Others have either not happened or have happened entirely differently. It takes some getting used to.

But you have to admit, it is fascinating.

Indeed. I find myself wondering if perhaps there are alternates of one another we've yet to learn about. Moreover, are these alternate realities independently formed, or do they stem from some primary source?

It's certainly something to think about.

I'm not sure I'd call it that. We do talk some, but that's mainly because we're the only ones from our universe. He's not really somebody I'd usually hang out with.

I usually just try to sink into something familiar and kinda distracting. Like work that I enjoy or a hobby, or a good movie, or food.

Just tune out and enjoy something simple, you know?

The unsettling aspects aren't personally on you, so no worries. It's just like knowing two guys named John (or whatever), really. Same name, different dudes.
