For those of you who don't know me, I'm Miles Edgeworth, and I had the misfortune of meeting with our "esteemed" Doctor Crane before he unleashed his research on the university. Seeing as he's still on the loose, here's what I've observed about some of his abilities. Unfortunately, my knowledge is limited, at best. If anyone can elaborate, it would be most appreciated.

1) He has a connection of some kind to crows, and in the past, has used them to spy on others and collect information. He may simply be able to communicate with them, though others have suggested shapeshifting as a possibility. From what I've observed, though, the former seems more likely.

2) He can affect people's emotions with a single touch. In my experience, he was able to instill an almost supernatural calm in me. I do not know if this is the extent of his control, or if he can influence other emotions, as well. It seems that skin to skin contact is required for this ability to take effect, but I still recommend caution, just in case I happen to be mistaken.

While I shared this information with RISE, I apologize for not sharing it with the general public earlier. I also apologize to everyone who was concerned about me and Kay Faraday. I should have announced my presence, and shared what I found out, much earlier.

Speaking of Ms Faraday, she and Franziska von Karma were sent back home earlier this month, for those who missed it. Her own murder of crows seem to be lingering around, though; if anyone is concerned about the differences between her birds and Crane's, please contact me privately.

What do you think I did? I went in there to drag him out. None of Lucifer's traps could affect me, and I'm quite a good burglar. So I tried to get him out of there. It didn't work. Obviously. If it did, he CERTAINLY wouldn't have access to his communicator.

Was anyone with you? Was anyone helping you capture Crane?

Do you know any other burglars who are immune to Lucifer's traps?

[takethestairs]

What did you see? In Crane's hideout.

[He could give Kitty a lecture on the importance of backup and teamwork, but the most important thing here is to gather information. Besides, he doesn't have much room to talk, not after his own experience with Lucifer]

Nothing. Nothing helpful. I could tell you where he was staying, the level of security there, and I could definitely attest to Lucifer being an accomplice helping him hide - but I'm sure he's already moved on, and we already knew the last part. I can say that he keeps a portable spray of fear gas on him at all times.

If you haven't already spoken to Major General Armstrong, I would suggest you do so as soon as you can. Even if the information may not seem relevant now, she and RISE may find it useful.

And then what'll they do with it? What use will they get out of that information?

They've been searching for ways to take Crane in and bring him to face justice for what he's done. While I'm not sure what use they'll find for your information, they might be able to piece it together with other evidence in their investigation. Even if it's information they already have, it certainly couldn't hurt to discuss it.

Though, if you don't wish to bring it before the Major General personally, there are other members of RISE in the imPort community. You can bring it up to them, and they can pass the information along.

And are they going to make him face ACTUAL justice, or just the nonsense that the government is pretending is sufficient?

And what's your definition of "actual justice"?

4 months of power suppression & following around a probation officer quacking like a little duckling and then getting a pat on the head and being told to be on his way.

I'll take that response to mean that you don't know what to actually do with him. Otherwise, you might have offered something useful.

[rathercommon]

Fine. Real justice is taking him somewhere where he can't hurt others and getting him real, compassionate treatment. And it's us making reparations to the victims.

[takethestairs]

I can't say I know what they plan on doing with him once they capture him. I doubt "compassion" is on the top of their list of priorities; however, considering their emphasis on imPorts policing imPorts, it's possible that he may not go directly to jail. It's not guaranteed, but it is a possibility.

As for the rest of your plan...you actually do bring up a good point about reparations. Have you spoken with any of the imPort representatives in the other cities?

No. I haven't.

But the point is he SHOULDN'T go to jail. He's mad. He should be locked up in a place where he can get treatment.

[takethestairs]

Actually, there might be a third option. I'll need to do some research first, though, before I can make any guarantees; different states have different legislation considering these matters. However, no matter what, his obsessions should not prevent him from being held accountable for his actions. I won't see "treatment" used as an excuse for him to wriggle away from the consequences.

I'm not asking for that. Believe me. I don't want him ever to go free to hurt another person again. I don't ever want to see his face again. I don't ever want to think about the fact that he exists again.

[takethestairs]

Then I suppose we're in agreement, then. Again, though, I suggest you go to RISE with this. Even if you may not see eye to eye with them completely, a group of people hunting them down will have more luck than a single individual.
