[ Kaworu is lost. Can you blame him? He was sent to a city to live by himself after he spent all his life inside a laboratory. He has no idea what is like to live in a society, he never worked or went to school - and now he is out in the open, is a student and was given a job. Even though he is lost, let's be honest, he's probably not all that worried about finding his way. So, since he is lost, he decides to sit down, watch people pass by and meet new people: you.

When the video feed starts, Kaworu is smiling because that's what he does all the time. A gentle, kind and caring smile, somewhat weird because why would you be smiling when you are lost ]

My name is Kaworu Nagisa and I was recently brought to this world. [ and before anything else, he has a question ] I'd like to know if someone by the name of Shinji Ikari is here. He is fourteen years old, has dark hair and blue eyes. Frail like glass. Afraid of close contact with other beings. [ ~~kaworu. no.~~

And now that is out of the way ] I'm also lost. I have never been to a city by myself before, and I never went to school or had a job. Sunday Church pianist seems interesting, though. [ red eyes look around for a moment, only to watch someone pass by, smiling softly ]

Do you enjoy your life here, in this world? Even if you were brought in against your will, how is it like?

[Stopped and sat and since it probably was something just done on a whim, Gamagori may just finding him sitting on a sidewalk with his back against some building, or fence. Not a place for a person of his age to just be- sitting, alone anyway. It catches his attention and he stops, still in that military dress uniform he wears for work.]

You shouldn't be sitting on the ground in the middle of a city. Come on, get up.

[ when the ~~giant~~ man approaches, Kaworu is quick to offer him a big smile, and without complaining at all, he obeys and gets up. Alright, rule number one he has learned about living in a city: don't sit on the ground. ]

Yes, I am. I'm Kaworu Nagisa, it's nice to meet you. [ HAVE YET ANOTHER SMILE because that's what Kaworu has to offer ]

[Oh, you like that do you? You like rules? You've been found by the right man.]

Gamagori Ira. [A nod. Polite boy, good.] Have you just arrived? Are you some country child? [The way you act is not- giving off city vibes, sorry to say.]

[ Mostly, he doesn't care. He will obey just so he will be closer to people.

There is a nod to answer the first question, but regarding the second, he needs more information ] What is a country child?

[Stare.]

Where did you live before you came here?

[What an- odd response.]

I lived most of my life in Germany and then I was relocated in Japan. [ Kaworu could be a really cryptic dude right now and leave it at that, but since they will most likely be talking about things he does not know, he decides to add more information ] I was raised in a laboratory, so I don't have much contact with the outside world. And there is much I still don't know. [ like country children ]

Gamagori-san [ honorific because Gamagori sounds very japanese ] are you an imPort as well?

[Oh, uh. You look special.]

Sunday church pianist? We might be colleagues, Kaworu. [beat.] Am I saying that right?

[ he is special, sure ]

Yes, you are. So you work at the church as well?

[Damnit damnit damnit he really can't get away from home, can he? And of all the people. ~~Maybe part of him is a little happy damn C&C memories making being closed off harder~~ No, he's definitely annoyed. OH WELL Kaworu is going to find out he's here eventually anyway.]

Shinji-kun. [ in a way, Kaworu is glad to hear his voice and at the same time, he perhaps would rather if Shinji wasn't in this world. Though their world is a mess right now, Shinji had reached a point of understanding (SORT OF he was kinda strangling Asuka but shhhhhhh), to accept himself and the world around him.

Well, maybe this place might have a positive impact on the boy, away from the Eva and everything that happened. Though , that's like running away.

But, there is something else; the semi-assertiveness kaworu could forgive (Kaworu did make Shinji kill him and Shinji did scream at Kaworu how the angel had betrayed his heart), but he knows Shinji's eye color ]

Am I? How so?

They're brown. I thought you would know that.

[Of course, there's one possibility there.]

Unless I'm not the same Shinji that you know.

[ Brown eyes?

Shinji isn't lying, there is no reason for him to. And it IS Shinji; he replied to the message and it's his voice. So yes, the possibility of not being the same Shinji exists.

Paralele universes, perhaps? ~~Time loops?~~ ]

Shinji-kun is Shinji-kun. [ no matter what universe and no matter what eye color Shinji has and no matter how assertive he got ] How are you?

Yeah, I'm sort of a Sunday school teacher there. Which is pretty ironic, but you don't wanna hear about that.

[ HOWEVER perhaps he does want to hear about it ] Why do you say it's ironic?

I haven't been here long, but I don't find it's all that bad. They've provided us with quite a bit and haven't asked for much.

Plus I've never been to America either, so it's nice to visit.

[More than anything, he doesn't want to answer that question.]

Don't say that. We-I could be completely different from the one you know. You can't just assume I'm like him!

I'm not assuming you are like him. You are yourself, your own person.

And even so, hearing your voice makes me happy. Knowing I have the chance to see you makes me happy. [ Shinji's existence in itself makes Kaworu happy. And different or not, Kaworu loves him. ]

Is it very different from your own world?

[This is...different. Definitely not like the last conversation he had with Kaworu. Like most different things, it's making Shinji uncomfortable.]

And what if I don't feel the same way?

Different enough. We don't have superheroes where I'm from.

[Some people there probably count as supervillains though.]

Things here seem a bit calmer.

You don't have to, Shinji-kun. My feelings for you exist regardless.

[ he speaks the next words softly, carefully. It's hard to convey exactly how he feels when he is an Angel and Shinji is a human. Though they both feel emotions like love, they feel it differently. ]

Shinji-kun, it is true that you are not the same. The world is different, but my feelings for you are not. As you go through time, you will change, shape and re-shape yourself - your tomorrow will not be the same as your today, neither as your yesterday. [ ~~not that you will remember time-loops or anything, apparently only kaworu will because Evangelion is suffering, but that's what he implies with "as you go through time"~~ ]

And yet my feelings for you will never change. I will love you everyday.
