[Erwin clearly looks tired today. Tired and grumpy. There dark smudges under his eyes and he doesn't look to be in very pleasant mood. But that's not the point of this inquiry.

No, the point of his inquiry this early morning is the vacuum cleaner on the floor behind him which had been sliced cleanly in half, laying in two pieces. He clears his throat before speaking.

Val, those new blades work beautifully, by the way.]

It seems our vacuum cleaner has broken.

[His expression doesn't encourage anyone to point out otherwise. He's been woken up in the early hours of the morning by that thing far too often after only a few minutes of sleep. Though, he also knows how someone feels about the vacuum. So here he is, this is almost his way of apologizing to maybe overacting.]

As I am not familiar with all the technology available and the options, I am seeking an alternative which doesn't make as much noise to replace the vacuum cleaner.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

No, it's definitely not the time for that, there have been problems with that in the field as well as the issue of supply of gas refills when venturing beyond the Walls.

Unfortunately the ability to fly without the propulsion of gas and use of tethers isn't possible back home.

Non-aerodynamic flight is actually a super hard problem. I'm pretty impressed you guys solved it even halfway.

It was out of necessity to attempt to even things out against the Titans but there are limitations. Fighting on flat ground without houses or tall trees to propel off of put us at a dangerous disadvantage. Of course there is always the option of anchoring against the Titan itself but that also poses its own risks.

I can only hope that humanity is able to solve more of the problem in due time.

I should sit down with you guys and get a rundown of that whole thing. In the last universe [does Erwin even know about Cape and Cowl? Val's certainly proceeding as if he does] things from our home universes sometimes turned up, so it might end up being more relevant than any of us would like.

Of course. [He looked intrigued at that, this is certainly news to him.] I wasn't aware there was a previous universe. What types of things would turn up?

[Because if Titans turned up here, well, that would not be good to say the least.

Well, for instance, there were these obnoxious shape-shifting aliens from my universe. All they want to do is conquer stuff and you have to kick their butts back to space every time and they never learn.

I would say let us hope it doesn't come to that here but experience should teach us it's always best to be prepared for what may come, if it's Titans or shape shifting aliens.

There's always a countermeasure. You just have to figure it out.
