Um...hi.
...No, wait, hold on a second. This is so awkward. Hello, um, imPorts. My name is Olive. Olive Silverlock. ...And I feel like I'm introducing myself as the new kid in front of my whole class, so this is about as much fun for me as it is for you.
[She pauses, what sounds like a breath being taken slightly audible from the recording.]
So! Yeah. New kid in town. In the world. You know I feel like I heard stories about this kind of thing happening, but it only really happened to the "superheroes" from where I live. Honestly it's so weird and I feel a little bit...guilty, I guess.
Not that this place doesn't seem great, but I'm not...interested in this hero stuff. Seems like such a big deal around here and it just weirds me out. [She pauses again, contemplating for a moment what more to say. Then she remembers something.] My friend though - Maps - would be in love with this place. If she was here I mean. If she was then she'd probably be screaming in my ear right now about getting to be a real life superhero, and going on team missions and stuff like that. I bet she'd get powers that would help her...I dunno, raid dungeons or solve puzzles? She plays a lot of roleplaying games like that sort.
[Are dungeons even a thing here? She has no clue. The town she got placed in seems like a rough area in particular, but no more rough than what she's used to seeing in Gotham City.]
...Well, okay, this is a disaster so I'm going to stop talking now and try to be a normal person.
[Hah. Normal. She wishes to be more normal.]

She waits with patience until she hears the first sign of music coming out and playing. It's a vaguely familiar tune, but she doesn't think much of it when she closes her eyes and lets the music play into her ears. The lyrics immediately make her smile and giggle smally, trying not to be too loud so he wouldn't get distracted. As it goes on she thinks of her own friends, and how close she's become to them in a short time. She thinks about the friends she wants to make here, to help them and maybe even rely upon.
Mostly she just doesn't think and lets the song flow in and out of her, while still leaving something behind. In the middle, as she's gotten a bit of the song in her, she hums along with the tune lowly behind her smile. When the song ends she almost doesn't realize it, until silence hangs in the air and it's all over.
Once she's certain that nothing will continue she opens her minds and begins to clap loudly, but realizes that might not be enough. So she quickly, rather impulsively even, clicks on the video function. Her smile is wide and she's still clapping, the word "impressed" not even to capture how well he did. How happy he made her feel with the song alone.]
That was so beautiful! You're really an amazing player and singer.

Really? [He knows his style doesn't necessarily mesh with modern sensibilities, so hearing other people insist that he's quite good even by today's standards still comes as something of a surprise, albeit a pleasant one.] I'm truly glad you think so, señorita. Thank you for listening, and for your kind words. Such praise makes a guitarrista's heart sing.
