001 [Video]
[What initially looks like a pink version of Iron Man is addressing the network, although he has enough sense to lift his face plate when introducing himself to strangers.
The confidence with which he carries himself, along with the polite/neutral mask he wears, both suggest that the man is at ease with broadcasting his image for anyone tuning in. However, someone more observant might detect an oddly brittle look in his green eyes.]
Hi. My name is Barnaby Brooks Jr. I'm currently trying to confirm the status of a man who goes by the name of Kotetsu T. Kaburagi. He's middle-aged, wears a distinct beard, and is of Japanese descent.
[This is where he might have made some vaguely smart-ass comment disguised as legitimate concern about property damage, but the anxiety gnawing at him keeps him laser-focused on the task at hand.]
If you've seen a gentleman who fits this description, I would appreciate any information you might have. [He almost mentions the fact Kotetsu was injured the last time he saw him, but for the sake of being cautious, he decides not to expose a potential vulnerability just yet.
The most important question asked, he nearly ends the feed, but stops himself. A beat of silence, and then he dryly adds:]
Also, since my current outfit doesn't do much for letting me blend in, I'd be grateful if anyone can recommend a skilled tailor or a good place to purchase a new wardrobe.
[It's not the sort of thing he'd typically ask right off the bat, but he's so taxed emotionally and mentally that he's decided to free up as much brain space as possible by deferring smaller matters like clothes to people who know the area better than him.]
Thank you for your time.

Like something right out of a hero show, y'know?

An astute observation. It was designed for a television audience.

At the very least, I ought to have something casual to wear when it requires maintenance or when I'm otherwise not out in the field.

As for what I wear, I tend to go with things that are on the practical side, a bit simple in design, but still stylish. T-shirts, jackets, belts, cargo pants, boots, things of that nature. For more formal wear, though, I prefer clothing with a lot of buttons.

For a moment, Kotetsu can only stare at the video as if he's not sure what he's seeing is real. It's not so much that he'd given up on the possibility of home as that he'd never really allowed himself to dwell on the possibility of his partner arriving here. Just shy of three months in this world, and he'd resigned himself to the idea of being alone here until they found a way back. It was better that way, he'd told himself. No one else needed to be stuck here.
Even so, it's hard to ignore the swell in his chest at the sight of his partner, at that familiar voice that's been missing so long, and all at once, he's scrambling to respond. He's perhaps a little too overzealous with the device, considering it slips out of his hand as he goes for the record button, treating his partner to a dizzying view of the carpet in his hotel before he snatches it back up.]

[brushing her hair from her face,] There should be loads of stores downtown. They might be pretty understanding if you just tell them about your situation.

I don't expect handouts or anything, but you do have a point. Thank you for the suggestion.

[He pauses for, perhaps, an overly-long sip of coffee.]
Nice suit. What's it do?
Video
Of course, Barnaby's expression remains as polite as before.]
Thank you. Our in-house engineer designed it to suit my body type and fighting style. The bullet-proof armor protects me from various hazards, such as fire or getting slammed into the pavement, while remaining lightweight enough for me to run and jump at high speeds. My helmet's HUD can, among other things, discern basic information by locking onto an object while simultaneously providing me with real-time data about the environment. It can compensate for any vision problems the wearer might have, too.
There's also a special mode that allows the leg to expand while I'm delivering a kick. That particular feature is more for cosmetic effect than anything else, though.

And welcome Barnaby Brooks Jr., sir. I am Gamagori Ira, Drill Instructor at Cape Canaveral and registered imPort. I would agree to look out for this man but by this time in your post, I see you've already found him- as well as options for a tailor.
Good.
Besides that, if there's anything you might need, I will be sure to assist you and again, welcome.

You mentioned you're currently a drill instructor. Does that mean you have military experience from back home?

( so the friendly man has a middle name and last name too. mathilda is very intrigued. )
I saw him at the zoo last Saturday, bought me food, acted very nice. Is he a friend of yours or something?
( although it appears the other found kotetsu, she's still going to tell him what she knows. )
【ᴠɪᴅᴇᴏ】
Something like that. I didn't expect him to have already met so many people here.
